I believe this Red Viper is a reference or even an easter EGG from DICE, Character from Midnight Club 2, the champion of Los Angeles, he uses a Red Viper.

I did that in acrade mode, racing by myself. Police literally chase the viper when I activating the Stealth ability

That red Viper has to be a reference to Dice. It only appears in San Diego. Los Angeles is about 2 hours away. And it's too much of a coincidence that they chose all red, with no stripes.(Dices car is based off a red Viper GTSR Concept without the signature stripes). I could be wrong though.

Just encountered the Red Viper in a Chopper race, thought it was weird since I wasn't able to use cars The race was hard so I had to retry it a lot of times so i suspected more since I realized it appears at some point in specific making it even weirder

There is also some glitch where you can go through the garage in Tokyo in the Arcade mode, Just step gas on the garage steel door and you can go through it

I like how random this Video got recommended & it talks about a mystery (Red Viper) in a Racing Game i played in my childhood. Finally someone who noticed the Red Viper, ( i had the regular dub edition back then and it also appeared in there) i remember encountering it while racing when i played it back in the day, i also did some research about this but i didn't found anything.. i thought it's a ghost racer type easter egg.

Ok now explain this one. Many years ago my friend told me if you go to Detroit with the police car and you go to a certain garage and hit the siren in a certain pattern one of the garage doors will open and a car will start running from you. I tried it and heard “chase mode activated” but didn’t see a car. Have never been able to make it work since

The blue low poly Monte Carlo its just a NPC, i think the developers of San Diego decided to use a Monte Carlo was a traffic car to save time.

ive been playing MC3 since i was un like 1st or 2nd grade with my first PS2 and i never knew about or even seen the red viper untill i watched an iceberg video, i went out of my way and dusted the game off and sure enough, on the race rev limit around the stadium here he came

I use a RGH 360 with the OG Xbox Compatibility files, some games run slower upscaled I usually just leave as.
