I would love this pack in a 30 Liter size.

If it would stand up, he’ll yeah. I’d be down for a 40L even.

the water bottle sleeves suck on the UA and the Scree 32 have to put bottle in THEN pack which sucks.

Agreed. Loads of packs work well in a vacuum but bottle pockets that extend internal to the pack are a non starter.

Nice review. The smaller bag seems to lack some of the better features of the larger one for a day pack. No outside water/coffee bottle sleeves, not even a hidden outside pocket or two to for a MetroCard for the subway. Not thrilled that it falls over. Also, do the two inside small pockets on both sides have zippers? Couldn't tell. Is there a Mystery pack you would rec for daily use? Something else? Not sure I would love the zipper system. I need to get in and out pretty easily. Not fond of a bag I have to fully open (is that called a clamshell? This seemed like a happy medium). I like compartments, sleek, ease, comfort (straps especially as I have neck issues), durability, well-made, not too heavy, waterproof zippers, well-protected 13" computer/accessible sleeve. I am usually in high crime/poverty NYC neighbs where water and coffee are hard to find so bottles are essential and have to be easy to access (which is why my Mission Workshop Sanction drives me nuts. It's also quite heavy). The Gorcuk doesn't fit my needs (barely any compartments). I wish it did as it seems like it would last for life. I was looking at the Brown Buffalo 19L CBV3, maybe a Bellroy? I have to take my day with me but don't want something cumbersome. At the same time, I need to be able to wear it with low key and high-end clothes (I can get away with this design for both. I am in design). I am a female, 5'6" so size matters as I don't want it digging into my back. I also don't like items falling to the bottom, so even distribution matters. A false bottom is nice. Welcome your input.

I think they could do better with the bag. No discrete molly at the bottom, water bottle pockets that compromise on the space inside the bag. No string options to attach a rain coat on the outside. The unassuming look though is a plus - one of few.

Excellent review! I really liked the multicam Front that you also reviewed. Where did you find that color?

How durable are the zippers?

I have never had a material issue with MR and this pack won’t be any different.

I actually had to return my 3DAP from MR. The zipper coating was worn off and the stitching that holds the metal part of the zipper was frayed. They replaced it for free and were awesome to deal with. That being said I am hard on my gear and if you stress the zippers like I do you may experience this failure as well. This happened after 6 months of hard use. Im waiting on the new one to start fraying as well.

Is it easy to remove the company logo patch and replace it with another one?
@EODFish2 жыл бұрын
You’d have to be able to work within the pocket.

Great Review. Does it fit under a seat in case that overhead bins are full?
@EODFish5 жыл бұрын
Yes. Whether you want it there or not is a different story. I would say it is too long to do so comfortably.

I think the tri zip would drive me insane

This is probably the 12th Mystery Ranch pack I have owned and I just can’t get to the point where I appreciate the trizip.
