I saw the series, at first I was really confused as to what was going on and what the letter was all about. 1899 is rather very interesting as I continued watching it, overall its a great series in my opinion.

This series will def mess with your mind. From the initial synchronized tea cup clink, you know something is off. The plot is nearly impossible to predict because rules are almost nonexistent. And sometimes it goes off course, apparently just to fuck with you.

I love the slow burn of 1899. The only things that I didn’t like about it were the times when they would finally give you info, but it would be through info dumping (instead of show don’t tell), and the fact you could tell what was going on fairly early on in the series. Still very enjoyable series

I'm not sure if anyone noticed that the ship appears to be mix of the Lusitania-class and Olympic-class liners, which both designs wouldn't exist or even enter British service until the Cunarder RMS Lusitania entered service in 1907. This would make both the "lost ship" and duplicates do not fit in with the setting of 1899 (while there was a four-funnel liner in 1899, shame it's the German SS Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse, which has a very different design).
