Man, the ship passengers death scenes horrified the hell outta me when I saw it the first time. Bloody well done scenes and so horrific. Being a huge horror fan (in every possible way horror can be created from comedic to gore to Sci-fi to psychological etc), that scene ranks in my top 5 EASILY.

Yeah over all i mean not ALL modern movies sucked, but like other people said, it was really actually now expected now a days what characters and monsters would do. I especially like horror films like saw, since it has these actual interesting traps and such and even the new movies arent bad themselves.

Now I know the entire movie. I remember the opening scene when the wire cuts the passengers, I saw it a long time ago, and being a kid it scared the shit out of me. A few days ago it came to my mind out of nowhere and searched for it and its a great coincidence that *Mystery Recapped* tells the whole story just days after I searched about it and was too lazy to watch the entire film.

Mythbusters tested the wire trap and busted it. The wire wouldn't have cut through and killed everyone like that. Only the people up front would be injured and the rest would pretty much get knocked over by the other people.

I’ve seen that scene by accident and it never left my mind, I was 10 then. I have never tried to find out what movie it was. That’s 3min scene I saw was enough to scare me off. Till this day I don’t like standing on deck. Still I haven’t seen the movie yet and I don’t think I’ll ever will. So thank you for recapping it telling me the full story. The first horror film I've ever scene at like 8 years old was this one in like 2003. The terror from this movie was traumatic and iconic at the same time for me lmao I was hooked yet not allowed to watch 98% of horror films. My mom let this one slip thru for some reason and it was wild to me , I recall thinking how this was a proper horror movie and how amazing that was and how horrrified I was haha!

I had the same experience with this movie. I watched it not long after it came out. I was 8 in 2002 so I’m assuming I was either 8 or 9 when I watched it. It was the first actual scary movie I had watched & I did not watch it again until just last year because it had a traumatic effect on me at that young age. Watching it last year was still kind of scary for me which is weird because I grew up to an adult with a love of scary movies. Ghost Ship was different for me though.

That slicing scene, my god that damn slicing scene..., I dont remember how old I was, but i clearly was really young when i saw it and it traumatized me, it's like a scar in the back of my head that never gone away, popping up at random times to haunt me of how gruesome it was, I never seen anything like it back then, now that I'm older it isnt as crazy and stuff I see nowadays but it was kept in my mind for the day i found it again, i never knew the movie cause i tried to forget it as soon as possible, and I didnt expect to find it again just by clicking on this video, glad I did tho

Oh god I remember this movie This was my first horror movie to watch and I was so oblivious to what's happening all I can vividly remember is the pool of blood I thought it was apple juice and I really wanted to swim in it Now that I came to a realization it's FREAKING dark
