Honestly I'm kinda surprised that a relatively normal and therefore not-super selfish person (as opposed to say a crime boss who really don't to share stuff with a clone) would have a problem with his or her clone. I mean, they're your clone, who have identical experiences, memories, and preferences as you do. Literally no one else could understand you and sympathize with you better. Like, if I had one, I'd just want to make friends with him and share our lives as a team. We could do so much together. As for the wife, I think I'd also be fairly fine with sharing the realtionship since it's literally yourself. I'd have some reservations about telling her but still I don't think I'd get jealous of my clone. If I die for any reason, the best person I could leave my life and my family to would be a clone of my literal self. Not to mention that the clone is also better than the original. (This logic could be a bit different with the superior clone and the weaker original self, but, given the degree to which most people are kinda lonely in today's world, even if I have to carry a weaker version of myself I'd think prefer that to the vast majority of friends I could otherwise make or teammates and partners I could otherwise have. Being the stronger one also makes it mentally safe and reassuring since you're in a more dominant position in the partnership.)
