Can we just appreciate the little details for a moment? 😭 The Dark Cacao Kingdom is based on Chinese culture and they have the yin yang symbol. Since Dark Cacao’s colour palette is mostly composed of blacks and purples (Yang), it makes perfect sense for Mystic Flour to be white and yellow (Yin), because those are the opposite colours of black and purple. Now, if we were to analyse this a little deeper, Yang is the active energy, the one that takes action and gives. This is rather fitting considering the fact that he possesses the power of resolution and he wishes to protect his kingdom and people no matter what. Yin is the passive energy, the one that receives. This is also fitting because Mystic Flour has canonically incased herself in a cocoon upon seeing that no matter how many wishes she fulfilled, cookies would always want more and would always be selfish. Basically, she chose to completely give up and pursue apathy. Dark Cacao is the one who chose to remain active in his volition, while Mystic Flour did not

Dark Cacao is black, and Mystic Flour is white; Dark Cacao uses his powers for good while Mystic Flour uses hers for evil. Dark Cacao looks like a menacing warrior but isn't a bad guy while Mystic Flour looks regal and yet she is actually evil. And the entire empire Dark Cacao leads is based on the Ancient Chinese Empire. Cool attention to detail, don't you think? ☯
