Please continue with the Age of Wonders content! This is my favorite game in years. I felt like with Civ 6 and XCom being so old that your channel was meandering a bit, but i feel like this could breath some life into the 4x game genre, and you're at the forefront.

Star Blades is when any spell is cast, not just your own spells. I learned this the hard way by casting a ton in a fight against someone who had it.

The thing that has impressed me the most about this game is that in the three full games I've played so far, there's no resource you just end up with a ton of at any point in the game. You're always somewhere around 300ish unless you're saving or spending like crazy, just by the natural pace of the game. The economy, both gold and otherwise, seems incredibly well tuned for a game at release.

I think the fact you've had like a million Mana this game so far is more to do with the fact that you have like all the Mana-based things going for you.

Hey Marbs, I have loved your content for many years and bought this game on your recommendation. Having a blast! And I'm excited to watch you play and learn more. I just have one small nitpick with these newer videos (which I still very much enjoy). The editing is very choppy, and kind of jarring for me. I don't think you need to edit out every instance of "non-important" instances where you're thinking or whatever. I actually enjoy those moments because as a viewer it gives my brain a second to breathe and contextualize what's going on. I feel with this current style if I stop paying attention for one second I lose the thread and have to rewind.

Yeah I'm loving this game too, I'm not totally in love with the UI, I mean it's fine but it's not as intuitive as it could be. I'm sure that will sort itself out with me over time. But yeah overall, I am going to spend a stupid amount of time playing this game.

The Autocombat runs a full AI controlled battle under the hood, so it should!

Mystic + Unicorn mounts seems really redundant. Tome of Teleportation gives all Support and Battlemages the Phase ability. Oddly, if your chosen culture does not have a "combat" oriented mouted unit, picking a mount option puts one of your un-mounted units on a mount. Barbarians get a mounted archer (Fury) and both Mystic and High have their tier 3 Battlemage put on a mount. Not sure what the benefit to that is, but it is an option. Maybe Spider Mounts + Barbarian since Web has a cooldown, you can shoot while waiting to recharge?

Mounts give more movement and slightly more hp from what I understand. I do think people use the unicorn way to much. I would personally save it for high culture campaigns myself.

@@SolitaryLark Mounts give +10 hp, which you can just take for ALL your race, not just the mounts. Otherwise, all mounted united get Fast Movement, whether or not you took a fancy mount trait. Unicorn is probably best with Barbarian. Taking a mount puts the Fury on it. With Tome of Subjugation, you'll get Tyrant Knights (on unicorns). Get the Tome of Teleportation, and your Battlemages will also have Phasing. So, you have a ranged unit, a shock unit and battlemages that can all phase. Makes for a nice elven build.

Hey Marbz, is it better than Age of Wonders: Planetfall in your opinion?

Well, personally I'd say it's WAY better, but at the same time, Planetfall didn't really click for me, so I might not be the most objective person about it. Still, I think city management for example is clearly superior in AoW4, the Tome system is also much more interesting. I like the world map much more too (certainly visually, but not just that). And that's just a few things off top of my head.
