Mary of Agreda says there were >three< kings/magi. That's good enough for me! Many, even clergy, today question the traditional story, and how many magi there were.Yet she was privileged from Above to receive insights into the life of Our Lady, and also of Joseph and Jesus. I'll defer to her over scholars who have only human reason to help them figure out the story.

Cornelius a Lapide says the same thing in his bible commentary. Quote from his commentary on chapter 2 of Matthew: "Again, that they were three in number, from the three species of gifts which they offered-gold, frankincense, and myrrh,-is taught by Augustine, Serm29 & 33 , de Tempore. The pious tradition of the faithful favours the same opinion. And the office of the Church for the Epiphany implies it."

I can't trust any decisions by a church that removed the second commandment from the Bible, Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image..., and to hide it they split the tenth commandment into two. They also changed the words of Jesus Christ from, "Give us this day our daily bread." to "Give us this day our daily Transubstantiation." Any church that has no problem corrupting the words of Jesus Christ, nothing they give can be trusted, especially that Gnostic based Trinity, that the Bible totally shows is man made without any inspiration. Most particularly the Athanasian Creed, written by one man, who is not a Pope, nor was instructed to do so by any Pope.

Jesus' Church - Still Here. 2000 years old. Read History of Christianity while You still can. Knowing Changes Everything. Come Home to Rome. @@laszmesz1958 I have read Christian history, the church today would be unrecognizable to the Apostles and the church they established under the directions of God and Jesus Christ. Lowly Bishops campaigning to be the next Pope elected, contrary to the structure in the time of Moses, that Jesus Christ re-established. A leader with assistants, usually two, Aaron and Mariam, 12 Princes/Apostles and Seventy Elders, also called Priests, Prophets or Judges, and under that you get Captains of Hundreds/Bishops and Captains of Fifties/Deacons, which it states in the New Testament that Bishops and Deacons MUST be the husbands of one wife and have well behaved children. Show me that in the Catholic Church, instead of fulfilling the signs given of false churches, Forbidding to Marry and Forbidding to Eat Meat (during Lent), not to mention denying the power of God, Revelations. Not to mention contradicting the words of God and Jesus Christ with the man made Trinity, based on Gnostic Pagan beliefs, as the first time the word Trinity was used it was described as God the Father, and his Word (Logos), and his Wisdom (Sophia), a female entity, while the Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost is always described as male in the New Testament. It took several hundred years of debating, all without any help from God, because all revelations had ended when the Apostles were gone, before it reached its current description, which Athanasian Creed was written by one man, who wasn't a Pope or even told to do so by any Popes, and of course without any assistance from God. But Jesus Christ said in John 8: 17-18 "It is also written in your law, That the testimony of two men is true. I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me." Jesus Christ specifically said that the law required two separate men to fulfill, and that he and the Father fulfilled that law. So Jesus Christ said that he was One man, and the Father was the Second man needed to fulfill that law. We know that Jesus Christ cannot be lying or he would be a sinner and unqualified to perform the Atonement, making the entire Bible a lie. Neither can God and Jesus Christ be lying when they said of righteous men unto whom the word of God came that they are gods and children of the most high God, in Palm 82 and John 10: 33-36. Making more than one God? No! For like God and Jesus Christ said that the husband and wife become one flesh, but don't combine into one body on their wedding day, so we do not combine into one God when all the Apostles and those that believe them, when we become one AS Jesus Christ and the Father are one, and one IN Jesus Christ and the Father, yet we will also each have our own separate perfect eternal resurrected bodies when we become one as and in Jesus Christ and the Father, definitely more than a Trinity, more like a Trillionity. Besides the prophecy in Amos chapter 8 could only be fulfilled if the Famine Of Hearing The Word Of God meant a loss direct revelations from God, for the Scriptures were always available to at least a few people, even when those few withheld them from the masses to keep them from seeing that they no longer did anything as commanded by God in the Scriptures, as Martin Luther pointed out some of those, but even he missed some major ones, like what God and Jesus Christ said that debunk the Trinity.
