I was blessed last night when I fell asleep while listening to this but, hear me out. My guardian angel wasn’t having it and woke me up at 24 minutes. WOW. I immediately downloaded loaded the app and ordered the book. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Sanity at last! Thank-you both! Time long overdue to ditch all those often crazy and unfounded prognostications and promotion of supposed saintly individuals of which the airwaves are now overflowing. We must get back to basics. David Torkington is wonderful, orthodox and wise. Check out Essentialist Press- many talks on prayer by David there.

Just listened to your interview with David Torkington mystical theologian - wonderful, described spiritual mystical contemplation so well; we are inclined to think that this shud be easy leading us to a beautiful feeling of peace forgetting its "hard work" in a way of sacrifice of attempting to get thro the narrow door on to the narrow path of forgetting about ourselves & focusing on God; but we don't want the hard slog we want things to be easy & so we miss out big time & times passes & we get older & then don't hav the energy; so we waste a lot of valuable time. As you were both saying NOW is the time! Re Medj messages how many times ww hear: " the messages are always saying the same thing" now I can see why! Can't believe the first 3 yrs of msg were about catechesis; my goodness we hav been blind for so long; as for Quietism - yes thats encouraged - just sitting there with the Lord at adoration without active prayer - is that it? - I do that!! As u say Robert we so need a very sound mentor. Thank you. Pat

People who are sincerely praying are sincerely working. People say they pray all the time. I often wonder are they. The Fruits are not there

Beautiful soul helping people to deepen their relationship with God🙏 As I have said many times but repeat again anyone who is serious about prayer and work needs to be a member of Our Lady’s army the Legion of Mary🙏 There is no other prayer group that can touch its excellence because by combining mission with prayer under the direction of Our Lady you automatically deepen your union with the whole mystical body of Christ🙏 Our Lady set up this army in the aftermath of the Fatima apparition and Servant of God Frank Duff was her powerful ally and General. But it is Our Lady’s army and she is calling all of us to join🙏

A priest at our parish was teaching quietism a few years ago. I didn’t know what it was called, but I recognized it as dangerous. Pray for Paul, who has left the priesthood and returned to secular life.

Why is the Holy Spirit mostly ignored as the Breath of God. He was there at creation also and stays with us now. I do get thoughts from Him immediately after prayer, little things for others in my life or t for those who touch me.

Our Lady of Cuapa: (paraphrasing) do not build me a temple or a shrine. Your bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit. Pray the Rosary, and do it with devotion with much contemplation, and at a set time each day in community/the family. Do not ask for peace, we are to make peace.

Old translations of the Bible render the end of Luke 17:21 “the kingdom of God is within you” (interior, contemplative); modern translations render it “the kingdom of God is among you” (exterior, nonreflective). I honestly think that the change in translation (as well as emphasis) reflects the contemporary mistrust of mysticism.

Medjugorje could be part of the problem. I believe so. Any Medjugorje people I know don't see my point, I always say it's like pawns in the game. You can sacrifice in the short game when you're playing the long game.
