Oh, yeah! The only limited edition PS3 I own is the Metal Gear 4 60GB gun metal edition; it just looks so cool. Aside from that, I own (all in original packaging): 2 launch day 60 GB models; 1 80 GB Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle; 1 160 GB Uncharted bundle; 1 360 GB Slim Move bundle and 1 500 GB Super Slim TLOU bundle. Yes, I love the PlayStation 3.

Did you guys know that the original backward compatible PS3 model A01 and E01 are transparent black? Yes the original PS3s came standard transparent black don't believe me try shining a flashlight through the console

My favorite was the gun metal grey Metal Gear Solid one. I just didn't like that there was no backwards compatibility but the 80 gig Metal Gear Solid bundle had backwards compatibility so I went with that one

I actually know of another PS3 Style not featured. There was a Sly Cooper Design for a contest back when Thieves in Time came out. Although I havent been able to find a picture of it ever.

@@MirzaKhalid Yep it sucks, and I play a game called warhawk on the ps3, and to switch weapons you have to use the d pad, which is buggy on the ps4 controller so when I go to kill people online I cant switch to the right weapon on time.

MARQ101HVC go to amazon type ps3 controllers japan version they have only satin silver and blue controllers but they are real and come from japan so it might take a bout 3 or more weeks to get delivered i bought a real silver Sony controller for about 130$

A super rare PS3 is the black chrome launch model that had no wifi. It got taken out soon after the PS3 came out. It is fully backwards compatible with ps1 and ps2

I remember there was a limited edition Killzone 2 or 3 PS3. I remember it was white and had a hellghast and Killzone decal on top. It also came with boots, I haven't found anything about it online all I remember was seeing a video or picture of it a long time ago.

Loved your video and especially your thoughts on the sick ways to display some of the rare fat PS3 consoles like the one for Twisted Metal and especially Yakuza 3. I wish I had the money for that one too. It’s too bad there never has been a BSG game especially since that series reboot peaked around the time of the PS3. If there had been a fat PS3 with a Cylon raptor on it for example with the word Frak engraved on the back and a boot up voice that said “By Your Command” I’d probably have gone insane looking at it and would have used it everyday.

The coolest ps3 is the FW 1.6 one i bought a few months ago complete in box. Redid the thermal pads, paste, and liquid metal under the heatspreaders and then put CFW to backup games for faster loading and manual fan control. I keep the fan at 30% at all times and it never goes over 70C under load. This thing should never die on me.

The only on this list i have (well, i have 2, but the second i don't think is that rare) is the MGS4 bundle i got from a friend in China (i belive, don't remeber if it was from there or other country in Asia). Is a E model (CECHExx) i only tried it like twice and put in on a shelf (i power it time to time). I have also a blue slim that came with GT 5, but not as good as the MGS4 bundle one, imo. Like a big MGS series fan, i would love to have that one that was signed by Hideo Kojima, but unfortunately is way over my budget lol. Each model of PS3's had plenty revisons (fat had over 8, slims like 4 and super slim a few also).

I sold my PS3 slim back around Christmas. A girl I was sweet on wanted to get something for her stepdad, so I gave her a good deal. I do miss my PS3 so I bought an original model online that had it's og storage replaced with a 500gb one. Seller even included a bunch of games. For 160, plus shipping it's a steal. Excited to be able to play ps1, 2, and 3 games again.

There was a gold version of the Slim was so rare that only 5 of them were ever made and had cost $5,000 but they weren’t from that gold company you mentioned. It did come with a gold DualShock 3 controller also. Heck you could get a solid used car at that price. Now I don’t know how common the white Super Slims are but to my knowledge those would be a little harder come by and more expensive than the regular black version.

If your 60GB PS3 is the CECHAxx model number keep it. It is the only model that is 100% PlayStation 2 compatible since it actually got the hardware of the PS2 inside. There are some 60GB and 80GB that are able to play some PS2 games, but is emulated so is not compatible to 100% with the PS2 library. Those PS3 will not have the CECHAxx model number. They start with the CECHCxx models and beyond.
