@Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad yeah. sometimes i don't understand why people want 4k 60fps so badly, back on ps2 we had bad resolution with the og cables and all, but the games were sooo great, and ran very smoothly for most games. sure, i don't mind having a better resolution with 60fps, it looks sharp and smooth, and you can see things better on-screen (some games on ps2 had small text and it was almost impossible to read), but i prefer having more fps than higher resolution. it's all about the gameplay.

Looking at this makes me realize that the graphics leap in each generation doesn't cease to amaze me. I have to admit that PS3 to PS4 was still a huge leap. PS4 to PS5 isn't a negligible leap either, despite the fact that games do look amazing on PS4.
@CephlonMayngrum3 жыл бұрын
Honestly ps3 to 4 wasn't a big leap. The last big leap was ps1 to 2
@fpereira773 жыл бұрын
@@CephlonMayngrum hmm I don't know. PS1 and PS2 are obviously in different leagues. PS2 and PS3 was a breathtaking step forward as well. You just can't compare the levels of realism achieved. I remember looking at early gameplay footage of Assassin's Creed and being amazed at how everything seemed so realistic. It only got better as years gone by. Then, from PS3 to PS4 it seemed like it were the little things that made the biggest difference (textures and general photorealism). Now from 4 to 5 it seems like it's once again the big things that make the difference, but in a different way. It's the sheer SCALE of the visual effects that blow me away. This is just a dumb example, but if you have 1000 particles in the scene of a PS4 game you have 50 000 on that same scene on the PS5 version of the game. That makes a big difference.

With that being said, if you have a fat PS2 versus the slim and both have little to no marks...imo the fat looks way better every time.
