👍 Can't believe you got no likes for this comment (yet!) In terms of the newcomers - these 4 Legendaries *totally* saved the roster for me all alone. I simply adore them, their stats (being a Battler over the times) and their lore. I never really cared for lore; but this was the very 1st time I took the time to Research lol. Only a top Tier game can make _me_ read some books!! So _so_ much better than Zelda's boring diary!

I like Dudunsparce because it makes me laugh. Decades of speculation and fan arts of a over the top dragon evolution for him and what's Game Freak do but make him slightly bigger that isn't lazy design that is intentional trolling and I love it XD Also dude fills the role Snorlax does in most regions of a bulky normal type so he's good in battle too

I know alot of people may not like Dundunsparce, but i think its hilarious. Im sure they saw fanart and knew what we were expecting, but they just made a slight change and added "Dun" to the front. I found it funny, and its stats arent all bad either. I used one on my team and it was one of the more reliable members

Currently on my second playthrough (first Violet, now Scarlet) I am going to do an all normal type team. There's a lot of great options for pokemon, but I'm almost tempted to to have two Dudunsparces because it had great stats and a GREAT variet of moves it can learn. It can cover almost any type move. I also think the new form is pretty cute like Dunsparce, just more body segments and bigger. But what isn't to like about that? People are just annoyed that the evolution is a gimmick, but I love it. Lol.

Gholdengo is one of my favorite pokemon EVER, the method of evolution being collecting 999 coins to get the 1000th pokemon (made of 1000 coins) is absolutely GENIUS to me, and it looks so goofy with the string cheese mascot look, yet it’s SO broken I love it

Man I adore Armarouge. It replaced Gardevoir as my second favorite Pokémon of all time which is not a easy thing to do since I hold Swampert and Gardevoir close to my heart. I mean it’s really loyal to you, it’s REALLY good in battle, and it’s practically flaming Gladiator Mega Man with psychic abilities. I really wish Ash catches this thing in the anime.

For my first playthrough, I went for a monotype Grass theme. Originally, I didn't love Scovillain's design, but it quickly grew on me and became a staple on my team. Especially loved how it subverted my expectations in that it's the green head that uses Flamethrower while the red head uses Bullet Seed. Arboliva meanwhile was great until the Elite Four, when they consistently had the coverage to punch through its defenses and healing. Went from my favorite tank to a glass cannon that healed my opponents 😢

As soon as Smoliv was revealed I made a decision. My squad was Jumpluff, Lilligant, Toedscruel, Scovillain, Meowscarada and Arboliva, the last was a saviour when I gave her the Rock teratype to counter and she's also a great tank.

I love all the Pokémon. The fully evolved Starters are properly powerful and have neat designs and killer signature moves, and while they missed out on the chance to give Lechonk an evolution named "Lechonkier", that evolves again into "Lechonkiest", I still liked the idea. All the new Pokémon are creative and feel unique while keeping a Pokémon vibe. My personal favorites would have to be convergent evolution, because it opens up a whole lot of new possibilities for Pokémon species, other than just a garden eel (Wiglett) that looks like an aquatic Diglett, and a woodear fungus (Toedscool) that's effectively a terrestrial, mushroom version of Tentacool. Here's some ideas I have for convergent evolutions: -Seoink and Scotopig: Water/Ground-type sea pigs that resemble the actual pig Pokémon Spoink and Grumpig, but with a more echinoderm flair. -Spineco and Thorretress: Grass-type pine cones that resemble Pineco and Forretress, the bagworm Pokémon that look like pine cones. -Stolosis, Duoresion, and Rockniclus: Rock-types that resemble Solosis, Duosion, and Reuniclus, but are made of hard stone with glass shells. -Lunaptile and Lunalisk: Fairy/Flying-type birds of paradise that can puff out their necks like the frilled lizard Pokémon Helioptile and Heliolisk. -Krabaux and Kinglaux: Bug/Steel-type false crabs with metal-lined pincers. Based on the real-world process of carcinization, or the tendency to evolve into a crab-like morphology, which is convergent evolution.

The reason I like Skeledirge isn’t because he’s a breath of fresh air being not bipedal, but because it has so many little details. The fire bird being a reference to the symbiotic relationship of crocodiles and birds, and the skull on its face reminds me of Dia De Los Muertos.

Armarouge, Quaquaval, and Great Tusk are easily my favorite Pokémon in Gen 9. I caught the Titan Great Tusk and named it Mastodonphan. It's an absolute tank.

Dachsbun ended up being surprisingly good for me. I had neglected to check it's ability when it evolved until I had to send it out against the Fire-type Team Star leader. The surprise MVP of that encounter stayed with me through the end of the story.

If you want to borderline cheese the Ghost gym, pair a Dachsbun with a Fire type that learns Lava Plume. None of the gym 'mons resist it, and Well Baked Body gives you a +2 Defence every single time. Armarouge and Dachsbun soloed that entire gym for me easily, and they weren't overleveled.

Im always a sucker for Ghost types. I do not watch/read anything about new pkmn games because i want to be surprised and Typhlosion Fire/Ghost typing in Arceus was a good one, love the design aswell. Annihilape is long overdue and man its good. Bramblin is just brilliant knowing what a real life pest tumbleweeds can be and giving them a eerieness. Scovillain just the name alone. Its design is looks a little like the Piranha plant from Mario. A Fire/Grass type is a welcome edition to the Grass typing in general. Baxcalibur looks like the old Godzilla of the 50's what more do i need to say. Tauros getting some love made me happy aswell since its one of my favorites of all time and looks damn good in black

I actually started on developing the story for my own conceptual Pokemon game called "Pokemon Legends: Battle Bond" that tells the story of the Kalosian war and the tragedies that came from the aftermath. In case you were wondering, Greninja in this game was the guardian of Kalos long before it became the starter Pokemon we know. However, the protagonist forms a close friendship with Greninja and they work together to bring an end to the war and shows the first instance of the bond phenomenon. it also tells of the slow descent of AZ and the enemies on both sides of the battlefield the protagonist must face.

Glimmora is my favorite Pokemon this Gen, so I've read basically all there is to it: It's the only Pokemon in Paldea (currently) that is directly linked to the Tera Crystals. The ace tournament sucks, the legendary hunt is ok but feels like it’s just there to waste your time cruising every crevice of the map, and raids are fun but you run out of interest after a couple days. After that it’s either battle competitively or hit surprise trade 100 times in a row. Where’s the battle tower???

This gen made me incredibly happy. My second favorite Pokémon of all time is Bisharp, and Primeape was definitely in the top 10 as well. I can’t believe that BOTH of them got an evolution, and that both evolutions are incredible both in design and in battle. They also significantly buffed Samurott, who is my all time favorite, by giving his hisuian form sharpness…This is definitely my favorite gen since gen 5!

I’m definitely planning to get Fuecoco as my starter. Love the look of Skeledirge. Given how people were hoping for Sprigatito’s evolutions to stay on all fours, I think its high time that we have a parody of the humanoid starters. Meowscarada is definitely my starter, but I also had Annihilape and Kingambit on my team through the whole game. I love their designs and the only future design I like is Iron Valiant, which is on my team now post game. The new Tauros looks so cool as well

Armarouge is without a shadow of doubt one of my favorites of not just this game but of all the franchise he was one the MVP's of my Scarlet team, looks amazing, and has an incredible stat spread and movepool I'll never not love this Pokemon. Garganacl line suprised the hell outta me as I wasn't expecting to use it but caught a Nacli and quickly fell in love and still have my Garganacl to the very end. Gholdengo took me a long time to farm, but when I got mine he quickly also became a fast favorite and has definitely put in the work for my team and I adore it's design movepool and animations especially when he surfs on literal gold, oh and Good as Gold is a busted ability and that adds to my love. Mystic and I have the exact same feelings on Meowscarada like legit damn near entirely the same, and mine has not only become a quick favorite grass starter but also carried my team on his back EVERY time we got into trouble if my Armarogue didn't pull us through my Meowscarada came out and slapped TF outta whatever was infront of us, my boi never failed to come out and sit down any problem we had. It even got to the point to where I called my Meowscarada the Pokepimp because literally he'd just pimp smack whatever gave us trouble then we just moved on, it was great lol The last new member I used on the team was Baxcaliber whom dare I saw might just be my favorite pseudo? Not sure Garchomps still high up there, but Baxcaliber definitely goes up as one of my favorite pseudos and though I didn't use mine for long it quickly became one of my favorite gen 9 mons and a general favorite Pokemon due to how it looks like Godzilla, and destroys all that's before it. Haven't used the other new mons, but generally I adore all the new Pokemon and the only new evolution/new Pokemon I don't really like is Dudunspare, because it feels lazy. Everything else this gen is absolute 🔥just wish the game had a lil bit more polish but it's still top 3 EZ.

The tinkatin mon actually hunts metal pokemons even in the descriptions tells you the it throws its hammer to bring down corviknights to take its metal so yeah that's why they are not taxis in paldea.

I like a lot of the Pokemon more than I thought I would. Also. This has been the hardest gen for me to decide between on picking a favorite between the versions. I enjoy the Pokemon between both scarlet and violet in different ways. Leaning more towards scarlet for Pokemon overall but violet as a bike since scarlet's runs weird

I liked cetitan before the games came out and almost considered using it on my play through team but even though that wasn’t the case once I found out that it’s shiny is an orca I had to shiny hunt it first and even put it on a snow team I whipped up and cetitan has definitely earned it’s spot as my favourite gen 9 Pokémon

6:35 Bolthund was actually kinda good though, strong jaw, and access to a bit of covers with the bite moves it could learn. It was one my core units in my Sword playthrough. And it's a normal puppy dog, can't say no to that. This pastry dog though, it me uncomfortable, you can't hug it, you'll get frosting on yourself or something.

I saw, and kept seeing alot of people complaining about the Gen 9 Pokemon designs. Personally it has some of the best Pokemon designs in a while. My favourite ones are Cetoddle, Ceruledge, Koraidon, Tinkaton, Kingambit, Great Tusk, Cheese string dude, Water and grass starters and Annihilape

The certain phenomenon that it mentions in the Violet decks is mega evolution and it points out that it looks very similar to mega salamence which also looks like roaring Moon but without the feathers and it looks like it could tuck in itself unlike roaring Moon which doesn't have any of the markings or anything on the stomach patterns like original salamence in fact I've seen a theory pointing out that what if mega evolution and paradox Pokemon are linked in some way like how mega evolution could be Awakening leftover DNA from years past thus creating a paradox

the link for Roaring Moon is mega evolution, both of those seperated paradox pokemon have something special about them. Roaring Moon is based on Mega Salamence instead of normal Salamence while Iron Valiant is a combination of both Mega Gallade and Mega Gardevour. not much more to dig into, they're acknowledging Mega Evolution which is good, perhaps it'll appear again in a main series game one day, maybe even Scarlet/Violet DLC.

Scarlet and violet are my number 5 in my top 5 with legends being my favorite followed by platinum then hgss then black white and number 6 is emerald then black and white at 7 However they do need to fix the issues which they seem to be doing I’ve experienced performance improvements from the update so I have hope they will fix the remaining bugs at least really bad ones such as the crashing

There were a ton of new Pokemon that it was hard choosing my team I didn't even know some of these pokemon existed until a couple of days ago like bisharp's new evolution, and palafin. I love this game but my one problem is that I think they over did it on the new fighting types like I wanted to use a ton of these pokemon but most of em were fighting type so I didn't use em so I could have better coverage

Used klawrf on my second play through and my opinion 180'd. Dude just hit level 100 at the end of indigo disk after catching him at the very start of the game before even my first gym or titan. Stick a focus sash on it and you have a guaranteed stealth rocks followed by killing or doing a lot of damage, or a +3 atk, +1 spd terror that's surprisingly faster than you'd expect.

Along the lines of Toedscruel, did you notice that each of its types are strong against or even opposites of Tentacruel, like ground is good against poison, and grass is good against water, but also water is good against ground, and poison is good against grass. I know it's typing is double week to ice and doesn't have too many resistances, but I really thought this was clever. I don't usually use grass types, but I ended up using this guy on my playthrough as a speedy special glass cannon, using grass stab, earth power, flash cannon, and sludge bomb, and I found him to be quite useful to keep in the back as a Swiss army knife

Ququaval did well for me as my first starter - I had swords dance, aqua step, acrobatics, and I think break break and I swept the entire E4 with SD AS😂

I played Violet and my team consisted of Skeledirge, Clodsire, Azumarill, Arboliva, Farigiraf and Salamence. Now I have thought of a better team and I wanna use it once I buy Scarlet... Quaquaval, Great Tusk, Lilligant, Baxculibur, Kingambit (new fav pokemon) and Gholdengo. I think my choices here just rock although there are overlaps!

Dachsbun has become my favorite pokémon of the generation and is even fighting mimikyu for my favorite pokémon of all time. Its stats might not be that great, but it carried me against the e4 dragon team! Also, emolga was the first flying/electric nonlegendary, but it's understandable how it's forgotten here. Kilowattrel is definitely superior.

Toadscool line: did you catch how the convergent species are just polar opposite of the "original form?" So Tentacool being water/poison wouldn't be an electric type. Ground/grass is the exact opposite.

Hi, just wanted to correct you quickly on one thing: the paradox pokemon aren't pokemon from the past or future, they're pokemon from different timelines similar to ours but with paradoxical ideas, for example, an idea that wasn't used, would be a timeline like ours but with a Porygon 500 years ago. I feel like Game Freak didn't help the misconception when they made most future paradoxes "this Pokemon, but make it iron". As for gen 10's region, it could be based on China but i hope it's based on the Balkans! Or maybe they can do that for another region, who knows. Really enjoyed the video!

@The idea of the Paldea / Kalos war or some lore related to it. If you look at the map of Paldea in the NE corner is a greyed off section that'll definitely be DLC. Which if Paldea is Spain, that should France/ Kalos. Which if we rub up against Kalos, then maybe just maybe, we'll get Megas again. (I've just wanted mega's back since Sun and Moon, and I'm grasping at straws here)

I like a lot of the designs, though I wouldn't think they were pokemon at first glance. Gholdengo and Tinkaton look like Dragon Quest monsters, for example. I think the ones I don't like the most are the ones that people really wanted to see for a long time. A dolphin, a flamingo, the fire/grass pepper, Dunsparce evo. They just seem the most plain.

Those Pokédex entries you mentioned for the paradox Pokemon aren’t meant to be real lore for them, but outlandish theories proposed by a dubious paranormal magazine (Since the violet book doesn’t exist in the Scarlet Universe (and visa versa), Pokédex information on paradoxes traded from the other version comes from those magazines instead). Flutter Mane probably isn’t a pterosaur, Iron Moth probably isn’t a UFO and I highly doubt Iron Jugulis is the love child of a Hydreigon that fell in love with a robot. Those are just the zany theories of an over imaginative conspiracy theorist writing for the magazine.
