Mystique; 2020 Can Am Maverick X3 XRC Turbo RR Break in ride

Mystique's break in ride was EPIC!!!
We started at 8AM at Jellico and headed out to Tackett and then on to Middlesboro KY to meet up with the rest of the group, we had 9 machines total. We made contact over around Pineville KY. making it back to Middlesboro just before dark we decided we would head over and take on No Business Hollow before we headed to the trucks. Only 4 of us was left for this trail. After spending all day behind the Wheel of Mystique I felt this would be the ultimate test for the new machine. No Business in the dark is a Beast on a whole new level!!! They had had a lot of rain in this area in the last 24 hours and I had never seen this much water coming down the hollow. We made short work of the trail with ZERO broken parts. We pulled back into the trucks at 10:30 with 138miles miles behind us. Carnage for the day was 3 broken axles...1 on a Polaris Turbo, one on a Honda Talon, and one on an X3. All machines made it back to the trucks under there own power.
I must say I have been behind the wheel, and followed in the woods quite a few machines, in the last 12 years. This X3 is by far the best out of the box machine I have ever encountered. It does things with such ease that you think how was that even possible. The Suspension , and Low gear are alone worth the price of admission...the rest is just icing on the cake. The other MFG's better step up their game if they have any hope of keeping up with this machine...this is coming from a man that has drove nothing but Polaris since 2009....

I hear ya, drove every poraris. Owned I should say. Put to tests. Went to another X3 and the rush of rising is back. Just amazing machines.

My x3 is an 2018 base 120hp and its an amazing machine. All my riding buddies poked and made fun of me but now they are coming around. You are right the other brands better step up there game. I can only imagine how well yours does being the top of the line x3. Good stuff buddy. Glad you like it.

I couldn't agree more about the x3 xrc, have had several polaris rzr's, including the turbo s, and the X3 is on a whole other level. Have always been told that the can am's were crap, but that couldn't be further from the truth. It has brought back pleasure to riding again. The hill climb you had with the various tires choices, has me sold on getting the Roctane XR's. Thanks for showing that.

The Rocktane Xr is one of the best tires out there right now. The super ATV warrior is another good preforming tire...my only complaint against it is it is directional.

I got a 19 X3 base turbo last summer, stock with system 3 bead locks & 30” carnivores. You’re right, out of the box with no mods, these things are awesome. Came from a 900S with a full suspension upgrade - X3 climbs & rides so much better. Did have to get seat risers, only 5’ 8”.

No I have left the seat in the normal setting. I have made myself get used to the line of sight. Took me about 3 hours to get used to the seating position.

I had 1000 outlander which out performed my 850 popo in every way. I now have a 1000xp and might step into the rr. Thing is, can ams are a Nightmare to work on!

Yes they are and the frames are paper thin and single sheer.....I just traded my KRX for one and I'm kind of regretting it...... the performance is great but they get a straight F in build quality

What tree kicker bars are you running? I've read installing them on the XRC is tricky due to the factory rock sliders.

so far so good. if it holds up to my riding style and i don't have to constantly work on it all the time it will be worth the investment...time will tell

@@JodyT let me tell you. My x3 has only been in the shop 2 times. Once for recall work and once cause I broke something. But brakes and wheel bearings seem to be the worst of it. 3800 miles on it and still strong.

@@JodyT yeah man the frames are paper thin and everything is bolted on single sheer I traded my KRX for one and am kind of regretting it......I love the performance though.....I plan on putting on a gusset kit and shock mounts..... changing the a arms.... and radius rods..... What broke down on yours.....and did you have any problems with your warranty......I heard they have terrible warranty coverage

@@trevorbraden5448 I have done the gusset kits, rear radius rods, and lower a arms...so far I have not had any trouble or warranty claims. I had to replace the brakes at 1200 miles, other than an oil change that is all I have done to it so far. I really lie the machine...they all have their weak links, you just have to identify them and fix them...so far this machine has fewer weak links than anything I have owned previously.

Those fender flairs are ridiculous but needed. I have the can-am extensions and they are useless you just get rained on with mud. Who makes these?

don't bother with anything smaller than these. I have the Rokblokz extensions for the can am extensions...still not enough coverage
