The X stands not for how many deaths of Wolverine, but the many deaths Moira “X” will have to avoid post-depowering and post-exile from Krakoa. Not to forget, Cypher is tracking on Moira, he gave her that prosthetic techno-organic arm in the first place.

Makes no sense for Moira to be a human when everyone else who lost their mutant powers are just called depowered mutants. She could just be resurrected with her powers back but that would derail the story so I guess this is where we are.

I don't think its revenge. Mystique is motivated by keeping what she has acquired, Destiny. Mystique will lose Destiny if Moira resets the timeline. Moira always wants Destiny out of the picture as we saw in Inferno. Furthermore, Moira is still capable of developing a mutant cure- something that Mystique and the X-Men have been against for the sake of all mutantkind.

Dope review! I think back in some of those X-Force and Inferno #1 data pages Black Tom was mentioning something about dreams or feeling something strange on the island. I believe Percy and Hickman was planting the seeds for this Phalanx-Logan or whatever orgin of it is. I'm thinking Worlock's spreading himself throughout Krakoa has something to do with it as well. My other theory is maybe this is Moria's Life 6 Wolverine from a thousand years in the future where the post-humans "ascended" into the Phalanx. Maybe somehow Logan was affected and that "tumor" has been preparing it since Krakoa's (the nation) conception. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I got Uncanny X-Men #221 vibes with Moria in the hospital reminded me of Madelyne Pryor getting rescued by the X-Men from the Marauders who were hunting her like Mystique is after Moria

I don't think the Valkyrie will continue to play a role or was the meaning of Destiny's entry. Valkyrie was there because Moira was seeing Jane Forester about her cancer. When Mystique and Moira started fighting Jane transformed as she heard the commotion.

Moira's ability to reincarnate is limited. A mutant is omega level if there are no perceivable limits to his/her abilities.

@Hagaromo Otsutsuki I understand that’s the most recent interpretation of an Omega Level mutant but it’s already been disproved in the past. Omega’s like Storm, Jean, and Magneto have already reached their limits in the past. Even when they terraformed Mars some Omega’s needed help from Hope and Elixir. The power to reset the entire universe is something that would overwhelm cosmic characters like Infinity. Moira is definitely an Omega level Mutant.

@Matthew Loh Are you referring to the same depowering gun that was used on Storm who later got her powers back with another pice of technology? The same thing could happen to Moira. The resurrection protocol could grant Moira another 10 or 11 lives.

This where the X Lives of Wolverine that made me give up on the book: Doesn’t going back in the past just create an alternate timeline, this not really affecting the actual 616? So why would they even care if Xavier gets killed in the past or not? I thought the only one who can truly affect the current timeline is Moira… 🤔
