I have not followed Comics closely for a while. I was surprised to see Omega Red's powers were changed. He used to have a "death factor" linked to his tentacles. Now he can jump from person to person (like Shadow King) taking control and changing even their bodies (tentacles). When did this change happen?

He was also death in another X-Men a storyline (Although this one was in 616 continuity .). I believe that this was when he didn’t have his admantium skeleton (Sabretooth actually had it then.).

He was the horseman death in an old arc, It was a Skrill invasion, real bone claws wolverine was kidnapped and brainwashed by Apocalypse to fight for Sabertooth's Adamantium. A skrull posing as wolverine was with the x-men for a whole year.

They’ve been playing with the Idea of X as the Roman numeral 10 since House of X kicked off. Moira X is due to her ten lives X of Swords was again 10 of Swords as in it had 10 characters that were the 10 swords And so we get to 10 lives/deaths of Wolverine a 10 part mini series. Reminder that Logan was weapon X because that was the TENTH version of the experiment. So Marvel has been playing with both concepts for a while and often interchanging them. So It is both X as X men as well as X as in 10

Yeah, it's odd that in X Deaths 2 this Terminator Wolverine came our of a pod 1000 years older then Krakoa so when it was still Okkara. Then there is that box with Katherine Pryde name on it from 2 billion years old with a mystery map in it from Marauders 1 annual. So traveling back in time is gonna continue, and so far it looks like they're few adding on stuff, but we'll just have to wait and see how far they go with this.
