Ask Niantic. lol. The spawns he gets are outrageous!! I'd love it if machops and starters spawned every day by me. There are two nests at the end of my street and both spawn the usual shit like you mentioned. He finally mentioned how hard it is to get an omanyte in other areas besided the santa monica pier. He's right. I saw one on the nearby during the water event, but couldn't get to it. It would have been my first one. But to answer your question, it's about money. Look at all the stores and eateries by the pier and the pier itself. Lots of people go there and spend money. Of course, Niantic is gonna regularly throw in great spawns to attract more people to the area so they can spend money at the stores and eateries. Apparently, Niantic is doing business with the santa monica pier business'.

True, but I've never seen him low on charmander candy. Charmanders also spawn from time to time at the pier by him and he sometimes hatches them so it's not like he's hurting for candy. Now, if I saw a wild charizard, I wouldn't catch it since I want to evolve my great IV charmeleon and get the added XP during my evolution spree. lol.

I think the answer depends on where you are. We've had a tracker up for about 3 months now, and here in Germany the majority, about 90%, of rare spawns are between midnight - 5am, which is 3pm - 8pm PST. You know the times when no one is up to catch them, makes a whole lot of sense. If the game knows what time it gets dark, why can't they also make the rare spawns be during times when people are actually playing.

I live in the mountains in Colorado, I was told that dragon types spawn at higher elevations. The most common spawns here are koffing, ekans, Roselia and spinarak. Seems like poison types like higher elevations.

Mr. Mystic7 (and fellow fans), you've probably mentioned this before, but seeing as I am a semi-new subscriber, can i get a breakdown on the definitions of OneHitterQuitter(tm?) and Savage Season(TM?). I've been discussing it with a friend and I believe OneHitterQuitter is when you get a "Gotcha" after only throwing one ball (regardless of the type of ball or use of a berry). And Savage Season being when you use an Ultra ball and a Razz/Nanab on a low CP Pokemon. I just wanted some clarification as I am not seeing a pattern for these calls. Next time I go out Pokehunting I want to be able to rejoice properly that I too achieved a OneHitterQuitter and/or Savage Season (as it appears that these two events are not mutually exclusive). Love the vids and the positive energy keep 'em coming :)

Savage Season is throwing a regular pokeball at a rare/high CP Pokemon. I wouldn't recommend personally doing it, since it's only fun to watch him attempt it on his show. If the Pokemon runs from him, he gets likes, views, and comments. If it runs from you, you get nothing.
