I was #3 in this video. (Caught all 3 off 1 incense). I used the masterball on the moltres because it was an XXL, then the articuno came out and I was like “i might as well use my other masterball and then hope the Zapdos comes out. And luckily it was the next spawn and luckily caught it.

Just make sure you don’t have a Galar bird set as your buddy and that should eliminate the worry of Zorua popping up when you encounter one. Zorua only copies your buddy Pokémon

For the people who accidentally caught a zoura, a zorua transform into your buddy pokemon and there’s ways to know that a pokemon is a zorua like say a shadow pokemon spawned in the wild it’s a zorua

For the shiny Noibat that ended up being a Zorua... what the heck man? The Pokemon would have appeared shiny in the overworld! Obvious tell that it was not an actual shiny, even before clicking on it.

Buddy functionality idea / introduction of “bottle caps”: What if for a certain amount of Km walked with a buddy, the buddied Pokémon were to find a bottle cap where, when applied, would increase or decrease the buddy’s IVs by 1. For this idea, let’s say the Km needed to “find a bottle cap” were based on the rarity of the Pokémon and would multiply by 1.2x each IV gained. For example, based on the eggs the Pokémon hatch from, or the level raid needed for the reward encounter, would determine if you needed 20 (tier1), 30 (tier3), 40 (tier4) or 50Km (tier5) walked for a single IV change. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Charmander, they would need to walk 148.832km (round to 149) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Gible, they would need to walk 297.664km (round to 298) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Mewtwo, they would need to walk 446.496km (round to 447) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. The same math would be applied to reduce IVs for PVP Pokemon. In addition to finding bottle caps with your buddy walking, perhaps they could be found in other activities by your buddy. Such as spinning stops/ raids/ gym battling / etc. This would also be EXTREMELY rare. To avoid problems with caught 100%s, the stat changes could be visibly different than normal stats with the following: * a notation on the Pokémon screen * different colored IVs showing a bottle cap was applied * the CP of these bottle capped Pokémon would be -1 of actual 100%s or PVP IVed caught Pokémon * the 100% bottle capped would not be searchable with 4* but would have a search just for “bottle capped.” Pros: - This would make spoofing or radar services less profitable and encourages more gameplay with the same Pokémon. - Entices player to “bond” with a single Pokémon for longer and therefore play the game more often to get the coveted 100% dex. - Allows all types of players to get 100%s while also not flooding the player base with actual 100%s. Cons: - All players would have access to the best Pokémon if they walk enough - The need to catch all Pokémon would be reduced slightly If you can think of any other pros/cons, reply to this comment so we can share our thoughts about the idea and maybe someone at Niantic will pick it up! Ideas welcomed and I’ll update the post accordingly. Side note: Could it be this is why Ash Ketchum’s Pikachu was so powerful? Because Ash built a string relationship with him? Legendary birds are so elusive, I stumbled with then twice or thrice, but they always run away and I did excellent throws twice. Then I didn't see one for months, even capturing 25 ~28 mons with my daily incenses. I will keep grinding for these birds, but I'm afraid that when I find them again I will use one of my master balls, because I'm looking for this catch since I've came back to the game. My last encounter was with an Articuno and I had the mb, but I choose war and the bird flew away...

Tip: If you see a Galarian bird on your incense, check the circle! If it’s not red, then it’s a zorua, if it’s red or you do not have it as your buddy, you can use your masterball

I am a level 46 in pokemon go right now and I still remember getting my master ball at level 26 (the may one) and back then my fav legendary was the galarin moltres and one day when I was walking home I had my incense on (mind you I was level 31) and at the last 10 seconds a moltres had spawned right next to a pokestop so when I tried to click it I clicked the pokestop and almost died, but once I got into the catching screen I instantly used my masterball and to this day my moltres is still my fav legendary.
