We Kannadigas love and respect our king HRH Wodeyar and his ancestors, we also love the Vijaynagar kings, as our beloved Wodeyar was dalvoy of Vijaynagar. The king and his brilliant Dewans have made Old Mysore State into one of the richest and most progressive states in India. During British times, only 4 kings in entire India were eligible for a 21 gun salute, Mysore was one of the four. During WW1, the Mysore mounted cavalry along with Jaipur and Hyderabad cavalry , mostly Vokkligas charged and liberated Haifa and destroyed Gernam and Turkish defences, almost whole cavalry got wiped out, led by Colonel Urs. Today Karnataka is full of outsiders and infiltrators , in decline since those glorious times
