Jack Bonus wrote The Hobo Song. He told me that it was a curse... A hobo approached Jack one day and asked for a cigarette. Jack berated and belittled the guy and wouldn't give him a smoke. Jack said "The audacity of that BUM to ask ME, Jack Bonus, for a free cigarette". So the bum cursed Jack, and said that Jack would become a hobo, and Jack laughed in his face. He wrote the song about that hobo. The hobo's curse was real. Jack slept on my couch many times in his life. God bless ya, Jack, where ever you are.
