Good statement on NOT being sponsored. You do get free material to do reviews, but you’ve not been financially incentivised to create dishonest reviews. Keep the reviews honest! Same thing I saw from KZbinr Robert Cowan a few weeks back on the FLsun reviews. He openly called out youtubers with paid reviews to make the product look good, while it’s not even decent at best when it’s coming from the factory. The only good reviewer I’ve seen so far on the FLsun was‘Need it, Make it’ who actually saw the FLsun for what it was and heavily tweaked it to make it a decent printer. Keep up the great work.

You should have tested at least PETG with those sheets, because PLA rarely has major adhesion issues. For now I use "Carbon" sheet to print TPU, so that weak adhesion is a benefit.

I have very positive experiences with these kind of sheets. (AliEx) I have used the some almost a year.. On my A1 I choose PEI hot plate but it sticks almost always (carbon even unheated). The diamond and carbon also much better than the colorful ones with stars sparkles etc. Use them most with PLA but also with PETG and TPU. I hate the sticker method of Bambulab and prefer it printready on the metal sheet.

I would like to make a suggestion. I don’t remember if you have a little outro section on any of your other videos, but I noticed just now when this one ended that it was a very quick ending. I usually watch KZbin on my TV, and it takes a few seconds to grab the remote and hit like if I happened to like a video. Without a little outro section there are times where a video will end before I can like it, and I don’t always feel like loading it again just to hit like. I’m sure I’m not the only one, and I imagine this can result in some lost likes. If you don’t already usually have a few seconds of outro at the end I think it would be helpful in getting a few more likes. Thanks for the test in this one.

I feel I am not understanding something... are these just a slight shallow texture in the actual print or does this transfer something into the plastics surface? Are these plates infinitely reusable? What makes it "shimmer"?
@JoeSchmoe-lq1uo4 ай бұрын
Thanks for this testing! I was actually thinking about getting these for my daughter's A1 mini. She's just starting out with 3d printing though so I don't want to give her something that will cause adhesion issues. I'll save these for when she has a bit more experience.

What plate did you choose in the slicer? Smooth PEI sheet? I've noticed, choosing textured PEI will extrude a little bit more filament on the first layer, maybe this will hide layer lines and stick more to the sheet also.
@fakecrusader27 күн бұрын
The sub surface doesn't match my expectations either, I never see any lines like on my smooth plate prints. You may be correct that it wasn't the correct plate setting.

I already bought the Ideaformer collection of build plates, I much prefer using a ready built plate rather than applying sheets to the spring steel plate. I also find with the colour effect ones a buildplate temperature of 65°C works best, I laos select textured plate in BLS as you get a little more squish. I notice on your P1 you only have one purge line, on my X1C I get two purge lines, did you have to change the start G-code for this or is it a result of not having the AMS connected?

I'd love to know how they perform with other types of filament, perhaps Asa or Abs even though they require higher bed temps.

YMMV but I failed the first attempt using the 3D-printed alignment helpers. I got bubbles under the sheet that just refused to go away. Later on just skipped it and did it the manual way by peeling away about 1cm/0.5in in one end of the sheet, manually aligned and then peel away little by little while pushing any air out from center and upwards/outwards. Perfect result for all four sides (2 sheets).

Use a hot air gun or hair dryer to heat the glue to make it easier to peel. Or heat it as high as you can manage to handle on your 3d printer it will come away easier.

Came to post this. We deserve to know who's being dishonest out here. We rely on reviews to help make purchasing decisions. Not solely on the reviewers, word of mouth over on places like the reddit, prusa and bambu forums carries weight as well, but they're usually the first place a lot of potential buyers check since they usually get the new products first.

I saw this mentioned in other comments, but I would really like to see how PETG works in thrse sheets also. I trued a 3rd party carbon fiber and stars plate from Amazon and had no luck at all makig PETG stick yo it. I am curious if possibly thr Bambu sheets are better. Even if its just a short instead of a whole video. I would live to see if PETG is possible with this. For the no name texture sheets i got i need to use goue to get it to atick and thr. The texture really doesn't show anymore. I would love to find a way to be able to get texture on PETG. Thanks in advance if you decide to try it for us!

How did you fix adhesion issues on the 3d effects sheet?

You can use gluse stick or hair spray, but then you don't have so clean surface at the end. So I use these sheets below objects with big first layer contact area.

First, use a Heat Gun to heat up the adhesive and try removing it. You may be able to remove the adhesive cleanly. If it does leave adhesive behind, use Turpentine. Make sure you soak the adhesive well, then wipe it off.
