Some. Not enough to make up for the destruction of Thedas though. No amount of lore takes away the sting of the death of the Hero of Ferelden and the Champion of Kirkwall (if Hawke was not left in the fade). It doesn’t even happen on screen. No lore can replace Denerim, Kirkwall, Val Royeaux, Weisshaupt, Amaranthine, and possibly even Orzammar. The ONLY places in Southern Thedas left after we managed to beat Elgar’nan and stop his blight are Redcliff and Starkhaven. You could play through the whole game without ever finding this out. The ONLY way to learn what happened is to read letters sent to you by the Inquisitor, they show up in your Missives. If you think something they added makes up for everything we lost, tell me what it is.

It was important for Trespasser. If the Inquisitor drank from the well, the spirits in the crossroads don’t attack you because they can sense the power of Mythal in you. The Well decision doesn’t matter anymore though. With Flemeth dead and the fragment of Mythal absorbed by Solas, the Well no longer had a master. It almost certainly faded away and vanished over time, too. We now know what Flemeth was doing right before Solas found her. She had fragmented her essence again, and all of the knowledge and memory Mythal had was sent to Morrigan. Morrigan would never accept the loss of free will in exchange for power, so there was no WILL contained within this fragment. Just knowledge. Solas claimed what was left, the power of Mythal and her anger. The Well of Sorrows is gone. If you have a good reason why the death of Flemeth and Mythal WOULDNT destroy the power of the well, tell me what it is.

@ I recall a lot of fans assumed that Solas stole Kieran’s OGB, not Mythals power, seeing Flemeth was pushing something through the Eluvian. Since Veilguard took away DA Keep though, no choices matter beyond “who did Inquisitor hook up with”

Pretty sure they know. I agree with the sentiment. It just doesn’t feel right to have anyone else voice Mythal. She drew inspiration from Arachnia, Queen of the Spider People for sure, she just toned it down a notch from the campy-absurdity of the Captain Proton Holonovel.

Man, that's so annoying. I happened to stumble down into this dragon's lair at level 32 and killed it long before I even got to the quest where you can convince Mythal for help. Now I get nothing :(

I was lucky enough that I went with clearing the crossroads all at once at around the same lvl as you and I did these quests one after another. Although I defeated Dragon Mythal and next the blight dragon.

Umm… the quest is given to you automatically very near the beginning of the game. The inquisitor gives you a memory of Solas locked within a lyrium idol. When you find the other 4 and return them to the Lighthouse, Morrigan shows up and tells you how to find this final bit of Mythal. In theory you weren’t really supposed to take out the 3 revenants until you were at a higher level, and find these memories of Solas on the way to confront each one.

@@callumreilly9107 whole game is boring, was playing legit until after taash and i kept cringing to Taash dialogue and dialogue is more ai generated. Solas kept saying to be human but hes an elf, it should be "mythal, i dont want to be in mortal form, im content here in the fadee"

@@edwinbasa2804 I made my second playthrough and ignored Taash and sent her to fight the War Mage in the finale. SHE died and it was satisfying. And now, HER and Harding will be reunited. 😂

What happens if you kill dragon first, then get Mythals statue. Can you still use her statue later?

No. You only get this cutscene if you answer her questions without fighting her in dragon form. That said, you can still use the statue in the game’s finale.

Yes, you can still use the idol and get the redemption ending even if you killed this dragon first. The quests aren’t related in any way. Mythal showing up to fight was just a neat way to reward exploration

Wow… I’m shocked and not in the good way. In previous games, Flemeth/Mythal spoke in a near hauntingly way. She could speak in hints and gave incredible one liners. Now Mythal just gives her help freely. Even tho Abelas stated “no boon from Mythal comes without cost”, this game threw lore out the window and now Mythal is well.. a shadow of herself

First, this is NOT the essence of Mythal that had been joined with Flemeth. Even if it were though it still wouldn’t matter, Flemeth spoke the way Flemeth spoke. Mythal was not taking her over to have direct conversations with people. Of COURSE she’s going to sound different when interacted with alone. Second, the first part of this clip is you trying to prove you are worthy of her aid. You CAN easily fail to convince her and she tries to kill you for wasting her time. I wouldn’t call that “free”. Third, Mythal shares the blame with the rest of the Evanuris for creating the Blight in the first place. The “test” isn’t about asking Mythal for power. It’s about her figuring out of you have any REAL chance of success. If she finds you worthy, you get her power. NOT as a favor, but as a way for her to atone for her responsibility in creating it.

@@alejandroherrera362umm… the Lyrium Idol isn’t something you can use before determining which ending to choose. Mythal even tells you that she has one last fight left in her. She wants you to purge the corruption from the Crossroads, and she will fly one last time to assist you. This has no impact on the ending.

@Husker_XIII I know. My rogue rook killed it at level 32 then we went and killed a level 40 high dragon not even ten minutes later. I think it has to do with that her weapons were pretty high and they deal at least 210 necrotic damage. You can get some pretty powerful skills and stacks going on the skill tree

Honestly found the fight against both archdemons at once the hardest fight. This fight isn’t hard, it’s just super annoying and cheap. This dragon periodically turns your screen black as it changes which element it’s being infused with. All you can see is yourself, the dragon’s breath, and the location of the potion vases. The dragon keeps moving this whole time too. Still flies. Still lunges across the battlefield. For like a full minute this fight turns into you trying to continuously dodge attacks you don’t know are coming from a dragon that you don’t know the location of. Inquisition dragon fights were boring but fair. This was just frustrating
