"I'm gonna say it overpressurized and went...". ...that means they are aware of the problem, and this exact thing has happened multiple times before. In the 747 cockpit, check out the number of meters and controls on the engineer's panel. No monitor glass screens, just "steam guages" and multi position switches. You dont get to see it here but I love the pinball machine technology of barber pole flags and literally, little pop up warning flags on the guages. Easy to read a watch, try 3 or 4 hands on a clock face, and read it intuitively and instantly. And the the icing on the cake - everything has a circuit breaker with an a mechanically induced warning "pop". One other gem is the stick shaker. A vibrator in the yoke, as a "feel it" based warning. Like a rumble box for a 1990s nintendo controller, except its made of metal and acuated by the same type of hydrolics used on a fork lift truck. And all this was considered a walk in the park when flying a jet, as compared with the last iteration of the piston engine. The engineer had to deal with aprox. 100 spark plugs, double supercargers, multi turbo chargers and highly complex cooling and lube setups. Get it wrong, and......

Jet engines are powerful. Some years ago I was in Sint Maarten (Lesser Antilles) and on Sundays one could go to the beach which is precisely across a narrow road from the takeoff position for the direct flight to Paris, an Airbus A330 with twin engines, each one producing over 60’000 pounds of force. One is actually picked up from the beach and thrown into the ocean, which is as close as you can get to flying by flapping your arms! Of course, I spent quite some time afterwards picking sand from every orifice in my body because you get sandblasted as part of the process.

Instead of playing actual dolphin sounds, they chose to play the sped up Kookaburra sound that has been used for Flipper. 😂💀

How they made the model impala is so funny because nowadays they’d just download a model and 3D print it overnight lol

A control test animating a fish or seal would have been nice in the shark myth, to see if it's the dolphin or the materials and mechanics making the shark cautious.

I think that the Whites are not scared of dolphins or people. I think that a defensive dolphin increases the likely energy output in eating the sailor, plus clothed humans in life jackets are not natural prey. The shark judges the situation to be too costly in energy and does some simple math before deciding to find more optimal hunting/feeding conditions.

@@ryanbuckley3314 I think there's definitely an element of "too much effort" in it, but I wouldn't discount the possibility even great whites simply aren't willing to risk a fight with dolphins. since dolphins hunt in pods, if a shark sees one, there's likely to be more, and dolphins absolutely can do real damage to sharks. dolphins are not pushovers, they are top predators in their own right.

Dolphins are hardly the 'good guys' of the ocean, they legit might hassle sharks because they hate them and it's fun (when they can gang up on it). The fake dolphin is too fake to fool the sharks; the sound, smell and electric field would have been all extremely odd to the sharks. Would a shoplifter proceed as usual; if randomly there is a dude in a giant Snoopy consume -just silently standing in the middle of the store? Odds are they are just being thrown off by something new and weird.

Incredible tests. 46:47 it is truly concerning how weak those buses are, the way the roof buckles in completely. If a roll over happened in real life, those kids would be dead!... 🤨😳 1:30:06 I haven't laughed that hard at something on Mythbusters in a short amount of time 🤭😆🤣😅 And way to go Tory Bond Balachi 😄

I just want to say, the way they built that mock dolphin, that is genius. The brilliant simplicity of using foam and a drill, damn. It shows well their vast and broad experience in model making, working with different materials, building robots and the like.
