Mythforce Montage - Vermintide but it's an 80s cartoon (debatable)

Mythforce came out a few days ago. It advertised itself back in April 2022 as inspired by Vermintide, so I checked it out in Early Access. Finally came out in full on Steam and I got inspired lol
I'm glad I waited for as long as I have because I only learnt some cool tricks this year (first person greenscreen, UE5 asset extraction etc.) Other than that, I hope you enjoy the show! It's only a v-slice of what the game is all about, but I hope it at least puts the game in a tiny spotlight. It's gonna be an indie title with a quiet release.

Props to SolidGrinch for buying the game and playing it with me. As you can tell I could not get more than one person in a match at once, which speaks volumes about the game's indie status. It's a tiny market for our beloved melee-focused horde less-shooters, so let's give it a spotlight it needs Mythforce came out a few days ago. There is also unique dialogue for when you're playing alone or defeat the bosses solo. Cool stuff even if it uh shows they knew the game will mostly be played that way

It's been well over a year and combat tbh feels as janky as at the start of early access, there was a bunch of really good overhauls to the gameplay loop but combat wise it really is only servicable lol It has potential, but needs a ton of ironing out

I bought this game out of curiosity and honestly I have no regrets. Smashing mushrooms and skeletons is satisfying and I've only touched 3 characters and 3 levels so far. Gotta play more, but so far Victoria is my favourite character. Big sword and cqc is my bread and butter and thanks for games, I hope we can play this title more!

upd: beaten Beastor solo on Hard as Rico and Hawkins at a friends place it has potential, surely, BUT it feels like the game came out of EA half a year too early Firstly, the inability to separate dodge and jump is crippling for me since I use shift to sprint/dodge, VT1 had it, why shouldnt this game? ALSO HARDCODED KEYBINDS and you can't bind anything to Space, Shift or LCtrl in 2023 wut the hell No melee headshots is pain, I thought crits on backstabs was Rico's thing since he's a rogue but nope, that's one of the two melee crits you get smh. Would be cool if different characters got melee crits from different actions, i.e. Rico backstabs, Victoria perfect blocks/parries, Hawkins headshots, Maggie deals DOT but alas Also Greatsword being the only class unique weapon is giga pain, I wanna actually stab backs as Rico instead of slashing
