LOL it still feels wrong to me but I am getting use to it.

I absolutely love Mythic 2e. I was pretty intimidated at first, but I've come to really love it.

I was asking myself whether or not I needed the 2nd edition. Seems like I do... Thank your for this in-depth look.

I feel it is well worth the cost. You might not need the hardback printed edition, lol just kidding of course you do. I am very happy with the second edition.

Great overview! I think I need to re-read the book again. I pounded through the material, and I think I missed a lot. Especially around soloing pre-written adventures. There are some tables you highlighted that I completely missed. Thanks!!

First like!! Way cool you made this. I respect your opinion and Mythic has been on my radar for a loooong time but I'm afraid to take the plunge.

⭐Gold Star for being the first comment. I would say just pick up a copy even if it is just the PDF and give it run. You might find the first edition cheaper to just try it.

@@solitaryrpg thanks. do you think there's much difference from 1st and 2nd edition?
@solitaryrpg9 ай бұрын
@@luxiscarbonus Not much with the fate chart but 2nd has more to offer. I just looked on Drive Thru and the PDF's for both are discounted. I know the hardback version is expensive. The good thing about Mythic is you don't really need it as a book. I will end up printing out the parts I need for my games and leave the book on the shelf.

Thanks for this. Mythic has so much potential but can sometimes feel like it has a bit of a barrier for entry

I agree and feel the second edition really made it so much easier for gamers to use.

This is the way. As a note, for those who find that Mythic doesn't work for them, once you learn how to ask the right questions in the right way it all falls into place.

A random observation, the key triggered scene tracker seems to be a little bit better done by fronts in Dungeon World. Thank you very much for your incisive and clear deep dive on this, it really motivated me to go out and try the second edition.

I have not purchased Dungeon World and have heard good things about it. I will have to consider getting it and see if it helps me better understand the key triggered scenes. It looks simple but it is a new concept and I want to learn more about it.

6:45 agreed, I like that idea. Was hoping you had made it available to others but I get it.

Sharing that might get me in some trouble with the author. It was not hard to make just a craft project.
