Hey all, I was the one that submitted the deck. Been working on it for a couple weeks, and no, it isn't a net deck, though it is encouraging that someone else is playing with the archetype. I've made various versions of this and am currently testing with bringing in gooses and some causalities, but I think the original version was a bit more consistent. 34:00 best moment...Mythic Red Mage skips first main and loses the ability to attack with their Fer-vent Champ-i-on. And people wonder why we poke fun at the red mages. Edit: Had to type that mid watch...and now I see a repeat of my favorite moment. Red mage confused why the embercleave wont work with Karn on the field. I had one spend 2 minutes on 4 consecutive turns trying to click on it over and over. Sad sword.

Yea, that was a very good deck....i played against you and it yesteday....had you down to two points....and then boom board sweep and never recovered...not sure if i had forty or thiry eight when it happen....but he had two...and he came back and pretty much ate my lunch...i ran your typical mono white aggro....it was a bad day for me...you were the seventh straight loss...and i just switched over to mono white....because my bant control and mono red were stalling big time....good game....kudos.....im polo cantu.....on mtga.....

@@DM-qm5sc yea i was using a pretty standard mono white aggro....you can't steal the deck...brewing naturally leads you to that construction....the ones i do borrow are control...because im learning how to play them....i sux at control...but i am getting better...and then my aggro brewing almost always contaminates my control decks...so get this fugly barely competitive deck that the algo spits to the dogs to eat...lol

@@nanielwolf5768 yea i was it was pretty bad....but his control style...really took advantage of my inability to put anything out and keep it alive for a turn and i couldn't draw....i minimized the draw of that deck....because it interferes with the aggro side of it....sometimes damned if you and damned if you don't

Hi CGB, thank you for reminding everyone about the Twitch Prime resubs. I'm glad you got a load of resubs. I'm sure reminders like this help out a lot of other creators as well so don't be embarrassed about the self promotion. Twitch does a pretty horrible job of alerting users to how the system works and your reminder got me to resub to one of my favourite non CGB creators on the platform.

I was playing against RDW, got me down to 1 health and was top decking with no creatures and an Embercleave on the battlefield. After my turn I was praying they didn't topdeck a shock or similar, and lo and behold, they top decked a Bonecrusher Giant. And proceeded to play the creature side and equip the Embercleave. You just can't make this sort of stuff up!

18:18 get a forest. equip shadowspear. attack 4+heal. tap the forest cast Oath of kaya and make Ugin a 2 loyalty. he can't kill kethis or the land and you could eat the oath of kaya again with the Vraska. enough mana :P

Clueless question. Doesn't spyglass actually deal with the trawler? It would shut down the ability, or am I wrong?

I haven't had the situation come up in a match, but I would think spyglass would only shut off the last line (hexproof), as the first 2 lines are passive abilities

@@jamesmorayforamerica Spyglass only turns off activated abilities. These are abilities that you as a player have to activate by paying some cost. The easy way to tell if an ability is an activated ability or not is when you see "cost of whatever + : " The colon separates the cost of an activated ability from what the actual ability does. If an ability does not have a colon in it then it's not an activated ability.

There are some clueless Mono Red mages out there (as the vid just proofed). With your Mono W Deck, I had two of them in Diamond 1, who for the sake of it couldn't figure out a proper block after getting pressured by white creatures. Lost their timeouts about it ... no kidding, two of them. Every now and then one has to play different types of decks to hone the skills. Top vid again!

I love the phrase "best deck in the format". I think what they mean is the highest win rate of highly played decks aka net decks. There's always decks that are better than "the best decks". They just don't get the attention.

The reality is that there aren't. At least not better decks against the entire format. Take a look at the deck cgb is playing here and try to read it's strengths - it does not have cards that perform better against aggro decks that the popular ramp versions of the deck.
