For not falling down, these. For dynamic poses for photography, Mezco stands or similar.

I got some of these stands. They are nice for what they are, but I feel that they take up way too much space on a shelf. I prefer Kaiser doll stands which are very similar but have a much smaller footprint.

At Legionscon we have used those in some terrain displays, poking through the bottom of rolled moss etc, to keep figures stable! I do like these to showcase a custom figure more, but for space management, you are 100% on the footprint. These stands are definitely more like art piece stands.

Great review, I use them on all of my test shots. I couldn't tell for certain, but is the stand body on backwards? The metal bump out should lock into slots so it doesn't slide up and down.

Yeah, I might need to get myself some stands, but as is my figures haven't committed shelf dive suicide yet.

These are secure but not versatile enough just from the looks of it. If i need a stand usually its because i want to put the fig in cool poses. I would need hands on time

Yeah for cool poses yes! But again customs or big, prone to fall figures. Life saver!

Did the pegs on the stands just slot in? I had trouble with the silver version of these.

For some older ones I've messed with it was a Lil tough putting the back into the base, to then screw them together. In hindsight I should have used heat on the base. With the ones I put together here, shipped in 2022, they smoothly went together.

What do you use for extra head display besides the neca stands?

To actually show them, I do use a sewing thread rack for that and 3d printed heads. If I had a better display going I've seen people make almost head mounts like for deer.

My old Final Fantasy 7 figures have these prong type stands. Hated those because the platform underfeet were too wide to have the posed side by side. 😅
