Mythic Legions Rankings: Congregation of Necronominus

Maxillius the Harvester This one is a lot harder to pick than the Arethyr faction because 11 of the figures, all of which are strong contenders, have yet to be released. That being said, i give the edge to Max. Necronominus looks great, but I’m also in the camp of him being a little bit too much. Max, though, is beautiful in his simplicity. I’m not the biggest fan of the overlay pieces, but the plain, black robed Grim Reaper is perfection. I also really like the eyeless head it comes with. The base Grim Reaper is an iconic character 4H nailed that transcends Mythic Legions and can appeal to collectors outside of the line, and for that, I think it’s the best. Plus, if that doesn’t appeal to you, there’s a great looking naked skeleton under the robes. My only gripe with it is that it doesn’t come with the full assortment of hands that you see on the Skeleton Raider, which is probably my #2

It's almost like a 2 for one inside a 3 in one. You get a Mythic Legion figure and a Figura Obscura figure.

My #1 is gonna have to be Necronominus, however that may change once we get the entire wave in hand. Of the already released figures, I started my ML collection with a handful because at the time (2 years ago) we were in a drought of ML at retail - Tibius, Scaphoid, and Malleus all hold a special place as favorites as a result. The 2.0 legion builder was among my first as well, and is probably the one that has grown on me the most, I was underwhelmed at first - if it wasn’t as pricy now I would definitely legion build with that one as the value of the set is really high, having 2 heads and torsos in the set allows for a lot of variety on the shelf, and the slighter build pops on the shelf among the 1.0 figures. Nice list, the Necro wave is gonna be pretty epic when it lands!

I think this faction has a lot of my top figures. You really can't go wrong with any of the skeletons.

Ilgarr was my first named character for Mythic Legions and so is my favorite for this faction, but I just got my Blue Hagnon and the glow and translucent parts as well as his backstory make him a close second. I've Pre-Ordered most of the skeletal figures and Conabus is my most anticipated out of the yet to come figures. Great ranking video to get a good overview of possibly my favorite faction.

Always enjoy these. I have to go with Tibius since he's an OG and can't find myself ranking any figures not in hand higher. I bet the new wave coming will have the best of the best as usual when 4HM releases a new wave.

Thorasis the First Risen is my favorite in this wave. Loved the shield and all the clothe goods on this figure.

Turpiculi is totally my number one and most anticipated figure so far. So much pop and swap capabilities and have the most of him preordered than any other figure in the line

My Favorite faction and skeletons are what got me into the line. Also a bit bias because Scaphoid was my first named Legions figure I bought, but I think when Necronominus 'himself' is released he will far and away top my list and become the centerpiece of my collection.

Thorasis the First Risen is the prototype of the evil guy that I would want my display shelf - skeleton yet nicely dressed and with a lot of accessories. Waiting for it!

Necronominus and Belualyth were the ones that got me into Legions. As i saw them i knew that i have to get them. Nobody does figures like these. Of the ones that i actually got i will go with the deluxe skeleton LB and for future releases i will go with Belualyth as you predicted.

I feel like ever wave they put out has cool figures but I think with the recent waves they've really been putting out some figures that make non mythic fans stop and look twice about getting in.

Another great video, man and this is probably my favorite of the factions and I have the most of these of any faction. I think Maxillius the Harvester will be the best. Years ago, I made a Grim Reaper custom using a McFarlane Spawn Reborn Grave Digger with a DC Scarecrow sycthe and a (don't laugh) Undertaker Black robe! Maxillius will replace him as Death. Clavian works as a perfect "blood skeleton" that always regenerate in Sword and Sorcery tales, however...the type of red paint on his face was disappointing in-hand. It is hard to explain but just feels off...wonder if the upcoming All Stars Re-release will be any better. Ironically....the standard Skeleton Builder is even better in many ways and looking forward to the Skelly Raider's arrival and the heads pack too.

Necronominus is definitely my favorite faction…I have a bunch of these characters on pre order, I’m definitely looking forward to conabus, a skeleton horse seems right up my alley, of course to go with conabus I need necronominus, but I think my second favorite may be thorasis. The skeletons are definitely my biggest part of legions.

This is a tough one because there are so many good figures in this faction. I am with you though in having The Turpiculi and Berodach at the top of the list. I would need to flip flop them though and put Berodach first. There is just something about him that makes you stare.

The undead builder pack looks really cool but I had the same mindset as you when ordering. May regret my choices....So hard to pick unless you have them in hand....I passed on kalizirr from poxxus then ran to order after I saw reviews.....Will go with necro...and then the horse close 2nd.

I get why they made the undead builder pack they way they did but I always feel like those are enhancements to figures we already have like with the orcs. Since we don't have other ghost (i guess there is Hagnonn) or zombies it feels like a lot of parts to make 1 figure. but with that said im sure it wouldn't be too hard to use a base from a builder but still, 2 standard figures would have been my preferred way.

I wanted them all but day 1 this wave went up I pre’d necronimus & conibus . And months later I pred thorasus & Elijah & Enoch with deacon. I might pre more (Belalith & the 4 armed beast)

If you can only pick 2 figures to preorder those are 2 that I don't think will disappoint anyone. I do the same where I get as much as I can from the preorder and then add more from retailers later. Normally after the figures are out and I see some in hand pics and reviews.

Ilgarr is my top for this faction. The beard kinda makes sense. Maybe it is a wig. Maybe when he died somebody shaved off his beard so his magnificent beard would not fade away when Ilgarr`s skin rots away.

yeah. my rankings are a mix of so many factors and I get it's a little unfair. I down grade newer figures that are above the standard price but old figures that are way higher now don't get hit as hard. what can i say? i'm following my heart lol

I think i've seen a custom someone did using that horse I think. It might have been another mythic legions horse but it was way out of my league to replicate.

@@thestrongcollectors yea i saw that he used aethon but i want the black horse in the movie or i may just buy the real figure once it drops ,it will probably be less expensive than trying to build it myself .thunder toys has carter slade and a light up horse coming soon but kind of pricey .1/12 and 1/6 scale .
