My dad ran a blog about collecting pennies for a long time. People new into collecting can find some interesting pennies for cheap. There were steel pennies during WW2. Sometimes you can find ones that were double struck or struck off center. And the ones with the Sacramento mint mark. And of course there's still wheat pennies floating around. I actually like to coin collect. When my dad used to take me and my sister camping we would stop in town and go to this little coin shop and my sister and I would have one dollar to use on any coin we wanted ( really any penny in the store ) and once I didn't go but I really wanted an early 1800s penny so my dad eventually got me one and it was the size of an australian half dollar it was massive! A few months ago I was going through my collection and came across a Portuguese half dollar and it was so strange because I don't know anyone who has been to Portugal!
