I'm pretty sure that if Jebus were real, the Romans would not allow him to be buried in a grave. They usually did one of 2 things with criminals like him. leave them to rot & be eaten by vultures or thrown alive into Gehenna which was a trash heap that often caught fire. Because, after all, they were trash. lOL

@@sagerider2 mass graves after the vultures picked at their bones was the rule. There's only 2 exceptions of this. It was an emperor's birthday and he allowed 2 people to be buried in a tomb because he was told its bad luck not to.

@@Ronnymikkonen2686 Darwin theorized that mankind (both male and female) evolved alongside each other over millions of years, both reproducing after their own kind before the ability to physically have sex evolved. They did this through “asexuality” (“without sexual desire or activity or lacking any apparent sex or sex organs”). Each of them split in half: “Asexual organisms reproduce by fission (splitting in half). That takes too much faith. I'm sorry I just don't have enough faith to be an atheist!

There are people who cast out demons. We call them mental health professionals. Or rather, they help people to cast out their own demons. Of course, I'm a person who likes to use metaphorical language to describe everyday experiences, and I think that's okay, as long as we don't confuse the metaphor with the reality.

Here's my theory: Jesus was crucified because he ran an unlicensed restaurant (fish, bread and wine) and he had 12 employees that he never paid so Judas, who had gone for years without pay, sued his boss. When the repo guys came to collect the debt, it was revealed that Jesus had wasted the money on a really sleek ad campaign and now only owned a couple of bed sheets and a pair of shoes. From there on, things got a bit out of hand...

I tried telling my mother about the two completely different stories about Judas. I even showed her both passages side by side. I was truly astounded when she said that they both right. "Judas went to hang himself, but the branch broke and his guts went everywhere." I'm not fucking kidding. And when I pointed out that the two stories are in the exact opposite chronological order, and have mutually exclusive details, she could not even comprehend what I was saying. She genuinely didn't understand how I couldn't see that the two stories weren't in direct contradiction with one another.

RedStine - She was told that by her preacher or heard it at least often enough that become part of her belief system. People do not really read the bible and their lack of knowledge is astounding. The bible does not play a large role in the belief of many. Many Christians cannot identify more than two or three of the disciples. According to data from the Barna Research Group, 60 percent of Americans can't name even five of the Ten Commandments. Fewer than half of all adults can name the four gospels.

If I called you an idiot, I should give a reason for my charge. You can't just claim the bible is a fairy tale, because there is tons of EVIDENCE against that. Anyone who makes a statement like you have made only proves the lack of wit or intelligence. The bible is THE SOURCE of over half the world's intellect and our history is so chock full of it, just ignoring it like you speaker encourages, is to take leave of your intellect and history. No, I'm not saying all religion is correct, but as I corrected one man here, Noah Balboul, about biblical circumcision, and proved Apostle Paul's sentiments, like you he answered that the bible wasn't reliable as history. But it IS! No one in the scholarly world denies that. Except you, and you're far from a scholar. Anyway, you now know what I meant by asking how the water of your wit could actually rise above its source. The idea is completely impossible. Just think about it bit, and you should get it. If you're serious about investigation, do it on your own. Here is but a small source of information that you will not refute! Check it out: www.google.com/search?source=hp&ei=V5P0Wta0Cu6O5wKhyKCQDw&q=bible+reliability+lee+strobel&oq=bible+reliability&gs_l=psy-ab.3.2.0j0i22i30k1l9.1838.5112.0.10749.18.17.0.0.0.0.166.1546.14j3.17.0....0...1.1.64.psy-ab..1.17.1544.0..0i131k1j0i131i20i264k1j0i20i264k1j0i22i10i30k1.0.BAzVzPUsAas

You said, " Why do you think i'm an atheists? Why do you think people are becoming atheists? BECAUSE OF RESEARCH , the information you send me i have seen already , it's all bullshit excuses you people try to find to defend you fairy tale because believing things that are comfortable is much better then accepting reality as it is , there is nothing you can consider evidence for the bible and supernatural , there are only excuses and worthless assumptions !!" The difference between me and you and your parents is that I have never been limited to be challenged by any spiritual question. I have actually invested 65 years on the 30th of last month to any an all questions thrown at me. Though I had doubts, just as you, I also doubted my doubts and researched my questions thoroughly. AND I did not merely depend upon answers given me by anyone. I wanted source references or I wouldn't even consider it. Like an adamant claim that the "bible is a fairy tale." That is a physical impossibility. I wouldn't mind discussing these things with you, but not here. The people for the most part have absolutely no love of TRUTH so as to be saved, where the truth really does set us free, and which is subject to ALL ANALYSIS.

Aron, I 'converted' to Mormonism when I was 9. (Because a 9 year old child can make a fundamental life decision that will affect the rest of their life!) So by Mormon standards I was less Mormon because I wasn't born under my parents seal. I would never be as good as them. By my 30's I realized that I would never be able meet their impossible standards. Oh and I was divorced. ( Bad for a man, much worse for a woman.) So I decided I would find the truth and find god, wherever he may be, whatever religion he actually resided in... I searched every religion I could find. Researched every god, history, and mythology book; seeking the truth. Finally I realized that my religious values and exterior actions were not in sync with each other. Something had to change. I couldn't keep trying to live someone else's values and standards to make or keep them happy. I had to make a decision.. Someone else's Values or Actions? Values lost. I felt it was more important to be honest with myself and others and live my personal private values every day with consistent actions. I abhor hypocrisy and lies. I can can even overlook benign ignorance.. Willful ignorance is another matter. And intentional hypocrisy will end a friendship with me. I've never known how to vocalize and refute the constant religious drone that tries to wear me down ( insert mother here). I've even seen and heard things that I can't explain. But never has it crossed my mind that it's of a god or a devil. When confronted by my mother who demanded that I acknowledge these things as proof of god; I demurred, simply stating that the only thing it proves is that I don't know what caused it... Yet. Thank you for giving my voice the words to articulate and my mind the concepts to run with as well as the courage to live my life without apology. I have always owned my own truths and have consistently argued they I will pay for my own 'sins', and that I don't need a ' scape goat to carry me. When asked why I don't pray for intercession and salvation, I simply say.. " I don't need it.. I'm good enough as I am. No salvation needed. I live my own life the way I would like others to treat me... Honestly." Oh and thank you for the Bible thumpin' ammunition...! Noah's ark alone can keep me entertained with my local fundamentalists...! Also, thanks for the tools to teach my grandkids how to use their critical thinking skills... I can't tell you how grateful I am. Thanks!

Thank you. I too am the product of a Mormon believing family, and have been having a difficult time since Hurricane Michael as I was forced to move in with my very religious Mormon sister and her family, who feel the constant need to belittle my personal views, but don't I dare ever try to point out the glaring flaws in their own. It's nice to be able to escape to the attic, where me and my son have been banished, and be able to get a rational view that doesn't simply dismiss reality, whenever it becomes unpleasant. BTW, my sister actually got angry at her google echo device and started yelling at it, because it started giving her the news, and she believes that she shouldn't listen or watch the news herself, because it is unnecessarily upsetting, and has made it a point of saying that she relies on her husband to do so and to keep her informed of anything she needs to know for voting or fleeing the state in front of hurricanes. This is the kind of environment I am subjected to for now, though I am going to look at an apartment today, so it is nice to have an escape into reason.

I was pretty lucky, when I was little, I used to visit friends a lot, and almost all of them were christian kids. I went to church with them sometimes, and I just.. never understood any of it? Kept my head low to be respectful, but I'm glad I didn't buy into it when my friend's parents would "thank god" for their meals they worked for and cooked. Hell, back in school, when we said the pledge of allegiance (to the flag) I used to just cut out "under god" when I said it. I slowly stopped saying it when everyone else stood up, as I soon had no respect for a god. Kids did notice, and I had piles of bibles over the years, especially through highschool, of people wanting to "save" me. I tried to get them off my back by saying I'm in a different religion every time someone asked me, but that caused issues of getting ridicule from all fronts about things I wasn't even knowledgeable about. I'm glad I remained atheist through the bible belt of the USA, and I'm glad my family is completely "meh" on the topic of religion in general. It never came up in the household. There was no god to bless our treehouse, no god to build our home or keep us safe. It was us.

Jesus eithet did not exist or was stupid. I mean, what do wise people do? They write books, because they know words do not last long, and they want their wisdom to stay intact. Wise people with resources even go futher to prevent accidents. For example, the governmental scholars of Chosun made four copies of the same book and stored them in four isolated storages in deep mountains. And Christians think the greastest of all human teachers did not do anything to preserve his teachings? Why didn't Jesus write his own books instantly with his magic, or let one of his apostles to keep a chronicle of his life and teachings? Did he really not know that his teachings would be altered when it would be propagated mouth to mouth?

Todd White... the growing leg trick... Shared his testimony of coming to Christ as a drug addict, and how it saved his life. Then as his popularity grew among the faithful,, he left his wife and children behind to pursue a career as a faith healer. I already had some idea about "christian" communities existing ways before the time Pilate ruled Judea based on what I picked up from Richard Carreer and Rodney Stark but seeing it afirmed in Philippians 1:1 ( bishops and deacons) is quite a kick. When there are bishops, at the time Paul wrote his letters, there is organisation, when there is organisation there is authority, when there is authority there are authority issues. AronRa is a very good and witty speaker and you pick up something new every time listening to him.

Aron makes me feel vindicated because for many years I read the New Testament and never thought the words of Jesus made any sense. These words were always so venerated as divine wisdom that I wondered why I was unable to 'get it'. Now I realize that it is just a bunch of nonsense. Thanks, Aron!

God loves you! (and will torture you if you don't love him!) God says don't kill! (except when he says kill!) God loves everybody (except women, and those OTHER tribes) God is really smart (except he doesn't seem to understand the universe he claimed to create) God is really powerful (but can't build a box, boat, or write a book.) God knows everything (but is often surprised at outcomes of his actions) God is love (except he's mad at how things turn out, which he should be able to foresee and predict) God has no gender or preference (except he REALLY likes circumcised dicks, and thinks that women are icky) What did I get wrong?

@@Zaprozhan there's a ton more. God hardened Pharaoh's heart cuz he wanted a chase scene and a catastrophic violent murder climax. God made bets with the devil over the torture of his loyal worshippers. God turned a woman into salt. I think there were a few city-sized slaughters and planet-wide genocides in there somewhere. I'm gonna watch the Friendly Atheist to get the rest of the details. He's reading through Genesis, one bloody chapter at a time.

The King Arthur Legend is a romanticized Myth based on an actual Welsh King of England before the Anglo-Saxon colonization of Britain. The later there was the Norman/Plantagenet establishment. Robin Hood was probably more-less the nick name given to Highwaymen. Researchers have been trying to claim an actual figure as RH. Of Course the Forest Tree dwellings in RH: Prince of Thieves were inspired by the setting in movie Battle for The Plant of the Apes.

I'm sure they will be uploaded, either on the speakers' channels, or maybe on gateway 2 reason's KZbin channel(I think I remember seeing a video on a channel called that, but I can't remember.) also(and I'm not saying this to be rude), but is English not your first language? because if you are planning on writing in English, you should know you had about a dozen spelling/grammar errors in your two or three comments. just saying.

At 5:40 - "They wouldn't write about these things unless they believed in Jesus and were interested in that story". So true. We still see the same thing playing out today - the people who see UFOs are invariably those who are interested in UFOs. People who see ghosts are those who are already convinced that they exist. People who perceive that miracles have been performed are already fanatical about religion. Some people used to wake up to find a demon at the foot of their bed a hundred years ago (or more) - but that doesn't happen any more - it's out of fashion.

Well, Thor has a comic book. Ain't seen one of this Jebus guy. He also had a whole section in the children's section in the library. Going around in his chariot pulled by goats. I like goats. LOL Jebus doesn't seem to care about goats. What's with that? Though he does steal a donkey & a bunch of pigs. And destroys people's property. Jebus, isn't a nice guy at all. Cursing a poor fig tree because it didn't have figs out of season. What's up with that? That's somebody's fig tree he destroyed. Then he went in the temple & destroyed more people's property. If he didn't like big daddy's power trip, shouldn't he take it up with him & not take it out on the innocent victims? His dad demanded perfect animals for sacrifice & clean purified coins to buy the sacrifice. So, he should take it up with him.
