It is so satisfying that he explains where he thinks he went wrong, and what he thinks will improve it. It's so frustrating when food or cooking media will just tell you what to do or give vague, surface level commentary like "wow that tastes so good" without extrapolating why. How can we get better at cooking without knowing why these techniques work? How can we know why or how something is delicious based on someone's body language if they don't explain what ingredients/textures make something delicious?

Omurice has been popularized and found in many restaurants across Japan long before Motokichi went viral. Also, it's not just fried rice inside, traditionally it's chicken rice with a tomato/ketchup base.

I think the part that would have helped Josh and anyone else attempting this is that when you roll out the omelet onto the rice, you're using the chopsticks as the landing spot for the omelet placing versus using them to push it out of the pan
