Maybe I'm crazy, but he's one of the most visually symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing combiners I've seen yet. I think they did a damn good job with him.

Aside from the arm proportions I don't have issues with him aesthetically either. And the right pose can hide the arm lengths. My issues are in the hips and feet. Not overall he's a good combiner. Just not Rex/warbotron good to me. But easily 3rd place. For now ;)

Looking back at this review, I'm still way glad I have mine. He stays combined on my shelf and when he gets played with, it's in combined mode as well, so getting past the initial connection issues paid off IMO. I am however super surprised that no one else has yet to work on an Abominus even though we have so many choices for Devy, Bruticus, and Predaking. You'd have figured someone would have tackled this by now. I

Declining? You nuts?! This set is fantastic compared to pretty much every other 3p combiner I own. You'd rather have the first time you combine this thing be loose? Tight on a new figure is not bad. Especially for combiner joints that are going to need to stand up to time. My TFC Herc was tight as shit when I got it, and two years later it's perfect.

lol. The word "declining" is pretty self-explanatory. Also your complaints in-video were pretty clearly made. Tight combination joints are "a problem?" The beast-mode joints don't hold up to the weight of you pressing down on them with your hand?! Feel like you're grasping at straws there, man. Being hamfisted with a toy and then complaining about parts falling off or being loose is a bit silly, too.

I was pressing down to show weakness of joints. Not tightness of joints. The only joints I have an issue with are the hip joints and not because they're right, not at all. But because the forward and backward movement is on a non ratcheted swivel and the in and out movement is on a single ratcheted joint half way down Hun-gurrs thigh. My complaint about the decline is not in the combiner but in the release of the bots. Troll was superior to alberich, alberich to sinnertwin etc. that's why I say I think there was a misunderstanding. Crimes mode surprisingly paid off better than I expected, which I stated. No harm dude, and no worries, I'm just saying there has been a misunderstanding.

I'll never understand why these third parties don't come up with a better way for stuff to combine other than a peg and hole that you need brute force to get them combined and separated. It can't be too hard to make a button and a spring mechanism going in these. Just press the button, combine the part, release the button and presto.....combined. It seems like a no brainer to me.

Great review , like the honesty you show, doesn't feel like you're trying to sell me something like some other reviewers. Just wanted to say you can plug Hagen's wings into Ordins back in combined mode. Somewhat of a different look (albeit the wings are a little small) and may help clean up that arm a bit.

Hi Bobby! Love your videos. Do me a favor (and yourself) open his pelvis. He does have ratchets in there but they are completely malformed. Do an update if you want. I spoke to RK and i am getting replacement hips, because his hips and the ratchets are one piece. Hopefully those will be better.

Combined mine today. I would say it's really poorly executed. All the combiner ports have overly tight springs so I have to open them and try to cut the springs. Not to mention other problems people have already addressed regarding Siegfried. This is the combiner that has the most issues I've ever dealt with (compare to Feral Rex and all FP's and MT's), which is even worse than UT Predaking in some sense.

I ended up getting this because the pros outweighed the cons enough for me. My biggest complaints are: Sinnertwin has too many unsecured joints in combined mode that can cause instability. The back panel is suppose to brace against the back of Sinner's thighs but it doesn't tab well anywhere so it does nothing. The panels that hide the robot hands of Rippersnapper and Cutthroat to not come down all the way(the hands are too big to fit in the arm. The side guns that form Abominus' sides don't secure in place well. And don't seem to have any use outside of combined form. Too much of the kibble on Abom's arms do not peg down anywhere and rely completely on joint tension which can easily wear down. The connection ports at Abom's knee are too tight. Since the knees of combiners usually don't swivel at all I wonder why they don't just use the same kind of ports the shoulders use. Where you insert at a 90degree angle and lock it in place by swiveling it the right way. Beast modes are too slender for my taste compared to how the G1 beasts looked. Transformations of Rippersnapper and Cutthroat are too similar considering how different their beast modes are. But I get that it was necessary. Overall I like it. Abom's head is a nice size compared to his body. The chest and pelvic shields attach pretty securely. The combiner joints when transformed correctly are pretty stable. Nicely colored and sculpted. The slightly longer arms don't bother me. The lack of tilt in the ankles might actually be a blessing since it can often cause instability issues which causes falling forwards and backwards. Which is a problem I have with TFC Predaking.

Im surprised your arm sockets work mine dont stay in whatsoever. The nubs that spring out dont hold it in at all so posing him is horrible. One arm fell out and broke the finger joints :(

Bobby Skullface L i agree. Seems like a 3p companies are starting to stick with mp scale stuff now. Unfortunately for me i choose to stay with classic generation scale. This one looks fine to me to fit that size and some of the newer fansproject bots with do too.( their take on toyworld hardbone as example) but other than a select few im running out of options on figures i want at a scale that works. I hope some of these companies swing back to generations soon to fill in the blanks.
