i just refinished the story mode using an emulator. Quite easy to beat bahamut now, but back then when i was 7 IT WAS HELL, and i thought of this song as a great gift when i finished the game first time. Now I really feel the depth of the lyric, as (decent) childhood is the best thing you can ever get in your life. Nowadays people are jerks everywhere. We didn't have two faces then. We didn't make prejudices then. We just wanted to have fun then. People need to play more games like this, listen to more songs like this, and game devs should make more games and musics like this, that teaches kids and other ages alike.

So far, only Chocobo, Mog (in his super hero alter-ego), Shiroma (along with Kazu, the doll from Chocobo's Dungeon 2), and Behemoth from the original have returned. Granted, we have a Black Magician through Vivi to be fair. All we're missing is Golem, Goblin Hood, Chubby Chocobi, Bahamut and Squall. Maybe Cid can finally be playable too (properly, not just his tank.). The new faces so far include Gilgamesh and a female (?) Chocobo.

Got this recommended today. Thanks youtube. I remembered it pretty well when I was just randomly playing this game and the squall challenger popped up!!! I was hella excited back then but took quite a number of tries to beat it! figuring out what squall's ability works, first time using bahamut (flying through grasses and velocity loss didn't occur f yeah), stacking the lightning abilities 3 times and knock everyone's out cold, using certain cheats to unlock the airship that goes crazy fast, discovering bahamut map's shortcut (involving risk of falling under), and many more! I loved and still love this game. Some day when I'm semi retired, will play this game again, along with Chocobo Dungeon!!!

This song has a special place in my heart. It marked the time when life got too busy for my friends and myself. We used to hang out in my house every weekend. I would wake up to them booting up our games. Summer vacation was particularly happier because they got to spend a couple of days in our place at a time. We would always play this game. Weekly gaming sessions became once every other week. Every other week became once a month. Now we are lucky if we see each other together once a year as a complete group. We still talk to each other on social media, but we are all over the globe now. I still think so fondly of those times and I'm glad it happened. This song also marked the first time I cried because of a song. I heard this song after completing Chocobo Racing with my friends but the lyrics never stuck to me, being young. But when it got quiet, I played the game again alone and reached the end once more, and felt it and started crying.
