I've not had this much genuine enjoyment from a game since Skyrim and Fallout 4! I went in blind without watching any gameplay and honestly I cant believe I've not played this before. It really is a masterpiece of a game and for £10 in the sale with the DLCs it's a steal

You should use the trap sign on wraiths it makes them take alot more damage.

or you can apply a wraith oil to your silver sword and do more damage while using the sign

@@arachne9572 Oils can be made for different monsters. Wraith oil is used against wraiths to do extra damage. it's like applying poison to your blade in skyrim

As I have stated before, I I think these equipment videos will be some of your best for the game. The Witcher gear from the separate schools really are the most aesthetically pleasing armors in the game. You can upgrade each set and wear another school while leveling up to wear the upgraded armor from a different school. You can literally build armor ahead of time, and have it waiting for you when you level up.

@@ThePhinnDiesel it is amazing, you just need to get your bearings and watch a starter guide here and there. But the game is dripping of narrative and combat (mainly points of interest which have loot and a monster guarding it, and witcher contracts) is fun as hell if you spend time learning the strengths and weaknesses of each enemy. Not to mention there are so many different NPC's who are all very well voice acted and some of your decisions in missions do have (sometimes irreversible) consequences. It's truly breathtaking *wink, wink*

Nearing the end-game of the next-gen version now I'd say the most effective steel sword progression through the game is: Thousand Flower sword from the chest in Vizima after making an account on the game launcher (can't use the sword yet but hold onto it), Viper steel sword from levels 2-6, use Thousand Flowers sword from 7-9, get Blade from the Bits sword from the "Of Swords and Dumplings" quest in Novigrad; since it levels with you you'll comfortably use Blade from the Bits all the way until around lvl 20 when you begin asking your allies for help with the final stand against the Wild Hunt. Now go talk with the King of Skellige and he'll give you the Winter's Blade which is just a better version of the Blade from the Bits. This is all you need to get through the game and requires no upgrading and like a total of 250 coin.

If you're here, years later. Just know, it is possible to fall off of the brick, to the left, when you are approaching the tower the way eso did. If you attack the bandit just there, you can fall off the ledge, to your death. I hope, in telling you this, you do not make the same mistake I did, and have to try and recapture the tower about six times. If you grab the chest first, save on you're way up to the tower, so you don't lose you're sweet, sweet progress, like I did. Have a fantastic day, and enjoy it thoroughly.

Am I the only one who hates it when I need a guide to find out what weapons I need when my weapon only does 12 damage. You know I thought Geralt was joking about the whole “Ones for humans and ones for monsters thing.” Don’t know what happened to my silver weapon but it’s gone now.

Step 1) install Blood and Wine dlc Step 2) start up Blood and Wine with no other saves whatsoever , having started Blood and Wine make a save and quit . Step 3) start new game plus and use the Blood and Wine save . The result is a level 37 character with 20k gold and extremely good items , weapons and not forget the exp points available . I started with my level 51 character full vampire set etc etc i didn't need the Blood and Wine save to boost my start , the level 37 character start isn't a glitch neither just how CD Pojekt Red designed the game so people could in fact start the Blood and Wine dlc straight away but you can use this to your advantage , the monsters will still be a level higher regardless because level 37 effectively is level 0 but with extra stuff ...Enjoy .

Now with the Netflix series i felt the need to continue and this game has become one of my favourite games It's huge and full of secrets, i love the contracts and treasure hunts Atm i'm completing the Superior Feline set hunt in Skellige The cat school is my favourite combat style Anyway, great video as always

I found this graveyard super early on but the wraith was too tough for me. I made a point to come back and kill him before finally leaving White Orchard. Good job I did or I would've missed out on these sword diagrams. I only wish it gave a boost to one of the signs I actually use. Basically I'm all in on Axii right now, but I'm gonna start leveling Yrden for its secondary effect. Quen and Igni both seem useful too. Literally anything but Aard would be preferred... :c

I just use any level sword until lvl 19 when I get my first Wolf gear , then at lvl 22 I upgrade it , finished the game twice at level 100 using wolven Gear .

I kneeled meet the the stone and it didn’t give me a point and I held x down until it stopped, and I didn’t get the recipe to craft the word either. I got a Gilfotd sword, a steel sword, Yen’s letter and a few other things and I checked everything in the dungeon. And I lit up every torch to make to make sure I didn’t miss anything and used the witcher sense Z

Couldn't craft the silver variant because I didn't have Silver Ingot. I also used the only emerald dust on the Steel version, so now I need to get that plus the ingot to craft the other. Kind of a let down tbh.
