Printing up an Awesome 4 Colour print with a new custom ink mixing system. The Ink Mixing system can mix Pantone colours with pop. Nice and vibrant print colours that smash out colour. Love the production in your videos. It would be awesome to see a video that goes through everything you need to set up your shop from nothing to your first client. @@KeeponCreatingTV I wrote that before I watched it.:D A waterbase underbase instead of a plastisol one. Now I have the confidence to try that out. Thanks!! Do you use some sort of hugger or catalyst on the white underbase? or just a bit longer under the flash as you showed.

@@deprintprins8614 Even Better, 2 Comments 😀. No Catalyst, just flash it for a little longer getting all the moisture out and you are going to be blown away with how smooth your print comes out. Also to make sure slow your main tunnel dryer down to reach full cure of everything!

Prints look great. So the waterbased underbase has to be completely cured before overprinting the plastisol or just completely dry?

Thank you! Ok so I would lean more to the 'dry' side as you want to get as much moisture out to allow the plastisol ink to bond to the underbase. If you have moisture trapped between the to different inks, that's where you get wash out problems. Thanks for the question!

Awesome video! Print came out amazing. What water-based ink did you use underneath? Was it discharge? Is it safe to use water based ink under plastisol?

Hey Dan, thank man. I’m using Virus at the moment for waterbase white. It’s not a discharge ink, just a waterbase. It’s fine to use a waterbase under the plastisol BUT you have to make sure to cure it before placing the plastisol on top, hence leaving it a little longer under the flash. That’s where the problem is. Using a discharge underbase can also be used but this is even worse cause if you haven’t got all the moisture/ reaction out before the plastisol, it’ll crack and washout... trust me haha 😂

My T Shirt Printers ok that makes sense thanks for the reply. Never tried virus before. I gotta try this with comet white. That would be pretty awesome if it worked well and holds up good. I just worry it may start failing after 5 + washes.

Daniel Mullins I test mine in hot wash about 40C which is about 104F I think both inside out and normal, print washes well, print up 4 wash the heck outta em 😁

My T Shirt Printers will do. I think I’ll put a catalyst in it as well. I almost feel like if you used the water based underbase there would be no need for a smoothing screen? What is your thoughts on that? The water based inks seam to print supper smooth and thin.

@@danielmullins572 Yup, if you have a catalyst def use it. Agree the waterbase underbase is like "Velvet" super smooth no need for a smoothing screen. It basically takes on the texture of what your printing. So a tight knitted shirt will give an awesome result, start smooth - end smooth. When you've struck one off send me over pic (no pressure, only if you want), be cool to see.
