My grandmother had a rubber plant when I was 10 years old. It stayed the same size and never grew through most of my teenage years. Then one day her husband who wasn't my biological grandfather got drunk and lost his temper because my grandmother wouldn't get out of bed soon enough and pulled it up by the roots and tossed it in my grandmother's bed. My grandmother got out of bed and tossed it out the back door were it remained for two days. My grandmother purchased a new pot and potting soul and transplanted it into the new pot. Well that rubber plant that stayed the same size half my childhood took off growing and reached the celling.
