MZ Wallace Crosby Backpack - Packed for a Plane Flight with Kids

This is my FAVORITE MZ Wallace backpack to date! (And I've had many - the Metro Backpack, the Jordan Backpack, the Cece, the Sporty Cece... none of those comes close to this one!) This backpack just checks off all the "boxes" in terms of being extremely lightweight, flexible, versatile, good-looking/classy, and the most user-friendly. It's my go-to bag for all weekend outings with the family. It would be a perfect backpack for work, travel, and anything in between.
The only bummer for me is that this backpack doesn't fit my work laptop, which is 15.6 inches - I believe this one will only fit up to a 13 inch laptop.
Otherwise, it really is the perfect backpack!! I think my search is finally over!

Awesome review! I have a small metro backpack and medium metro tote. Love them both and now considering the Downtown Crosby crossbody you have. So darn chic and practical. Love MZW quality and design.....and certainly gravitate more towards the metro pieces.

Coming back to watch again! Did u see that MZW just released a small version of this backpack? Too cute. I have the small Metro backpack that I love but now want a larger one for travel and the beach. Ordered a regular size Metro but wondering if I should rather get one like yours!

I had the Metro Backpack too but didn’t keep it because it didn’t have enough exterior pockets for me! I just LOVE how many pockets the Crosby Backpack has! It was the winner hands down for me!

It's the dust bag you can keep the backpack in when you're not using it. Or you can use it for anything else really - I love those things! :)

Hi my sister has a daughter who is 1.5 and she is looking for a new diaper bag... betweeen the belle of this backpack which would you recommend? She only has 1 kid. Also the laptop pocket does it sag? She won’t have a laptop so do you think it’s still a good bag either way? Thanks

The Belle and this Crosby Backpack would both be excellent for a 1.5 yr old (and mom)! It just really depends on her style preference - I prefer backpacks to carry my kiddos’ things. If she prefers a handbag/crossbody bag with a smoother look (the Belle is made of their Bedford nylon and isn’t quilted), then she might like the Belle more. Belle does not have a water bottle pocket though - I personally like having water bottle pockets to carry my kids’ water bottles especially since water bottles are the one thing we always have with us, no matter where we go. She might also like the Roxy if she’s already considering the Belle - it has more exterior pockets. The laptop pocket does sag down a bit on the Crosby Backpack if empty, but it’s not bothersome. It’s actually a decent pocket to keep diaper stuff. If you keep it filled with things it doesn’t really sag. My verdict for best overall diaper bag from MZW is this backpack - it’s definitely the one I reach for the most for my kids. It would definitely work for one kid too - I don’t pack that much stuff for my two kids every day - it’s probably the equivalent of one kid’s stuff anyway and it’s perfect and not overwhelming at all. Hope this helps a bit! The hardest part about MZW shopping is choosing between so many wonderful bags! ;)

Has anyone tried the MZ Wallace Maddie backpack? What did you think? I am looking for a cute backpack to carry as an everyday bag. I have had major back surgery and I am finding out that backpacks are my go to bags.

I love backpacks too!!! I looked at the Maddie online but I guess I’m just not a fan of the style/look. I bet it’s a great functional bag but it just wasn’t very appealing to me personally.

Thanks! It's very similar in size to the Metro, but I like the Crosby so much more because of all the outer pockets. The Metro backpack only has one outer pocket, plus the side pockets. The Metro also doesn't have a hidden back pocket, or a laptop compartment inside. Overall - I much prefer this one. :)
