I grew up in a family of 9 kids. My mom never asked us what we liked at the store. We were just there to push one of the 3 carts in our monthly major grocery haul. We would go back for little things as we needed it. My mom was not that accomidating. You ate what she bought and that was it. Lol Before yall come for me in the comments this was not shade. I'm waiting on the comment where someone says "well she isn't your mom" or yall must have been poor. Lol. I was raised in the 80's and 90's it was different back then. You had to use your work paycheck to feed your family. No monetization going on. These people can do what they want with there money and there kids.

I grew up similar to you, although there were only 6 of us kids. I truly wonder what a lot of these KZbinrs would do for a living to support themselves and their families without the money their channels contribute, including the sponsors and donations?

Totally agree - no shade at all, it was fun to watch, but I grew up the youngest of 6-kids in the 70/80's & we ate whatever was put on the table (usually very simple/basic food), or we didn't eat at all 😂..Zero negotiating went on in our house..We weren't poor either, with two professional parents present & working. It was just different times back then.. Got my own kids up the same way in the mid-2000's - first time I ever wasted 'any' food was when they left home last year..

I’m an only child and I couldn’t begin to imagine what it would be like to grow up with a sibling, let alone 9 siblings. When they get older and start having families of their own, your holidays and other family gatherings are going to be huge. Not to mention all of the grandchildren…wow. At least you will definitely have someone to take care of y’all in your old age. I wish you and your family nothing but the best!!!

@@YonUndone3064 yes and no. I’m 54yrs old and it’s kinda hard to miss what I never had. Growing up I was always around my cousins, so I wasn’t always by myself. But now that I’m older and my mom is older and I see what my friends are going through with their parents and having to be caregivers, that does concern me because that’s a lot for one person to manage.

Sundressjones having a large family doesn't mean that any of the children will be around to take care of the parents. One of my cousins has 8 siblings and a very large amount of nieces and nephews. Now that the mother is 97 years old only 2 daughters are around to take care of her. My favorite cousin is now sick and cannot go to Jamaica to help with the care of their mom. Her sister who lives with the mom and another sister are the only ones to care for their mom. The live in sister complains that the other siblings and grand and great grandchildren go to the resorts when they go down to visit. Mose of the family members live in the USA and they all have their own families to take care

Mz Kora, you are awesome. I have 4 step kids I take care of primarily, and now me and my husband are trying to expand our family. I've been a stay at home mom since the youngest was 4 and I love it, but I've felt alone as far as other women judging that we have too many kids and being at home is lazy. Our kids are on the honor roll and cooking and cleaning, being the kids and hubbys hairdresser (I'm actually licensed) and being the kids supporter and chauffeur, keeps my life so full. I love how you hold your household together, my kids are getting older now and I am so grateful for the bond we've built. Your big beautiful family brings me joy.

Shopped at Sam's recently and we had the genius idea of keeping the carts in one area and taking turns running the groceries back to the cart with the kiddos, tired everyone out so there was no room for arguing and made us think strategically about the things we were buying. Love a good grocery haul! & yes Sam's Club Scan and Go is the biggest win!

@@suzanneford1571 it costs an average of $5.75 per pound. It's definitely less than buying in the store. We're a family of 4, but I don't personally eat meat. Even then the $1,200 our half a cow costs is still less than if we were to purchase our meat from the store. We also purchase a pig from another farmer. Chickens we raise and slaughter ourselves. It's also far more ethical than factory farming. I know those animals weren't being tortured their whole lives just to charge me a huge mark up.

That many children, and they are okd enough .. you better believe I would be growing my iwn vegetable garden, and every single child would be helping. Better tasting food, and you van preserve for colder minths. All that means, is less miney soent at the grocery store and Sam's.

I'm curious to know if you ever consider getting groceries delivered, it is a really great way of saving time and budgeting too, for this much food it would really be worth it

Sounds about right when I went shopping with my parents. They would get what they need and I just get what I want and put it in the cart. This was in the 2000's when GROCERIES WERE CHEAPER. WE WOULD shop at COSTCO AND SAM'S CLUB before Sam's club decided to close all their warehouse stores in my state. I still miss SAMS CLUB.

Look up burnt hot dogs use mustard and bbq on them put them in the oven soooo good! Plus it’ll feed the whole family and inexpensive and with baked beans deviled eggs would all be a good snack😂

Growing up in a big family we cut cost bulk buying. We buy stuff like rice, beans and flour by the really big bags and the entire cow/goat or half and freeze most. I live by myself now but i still can't stop the bulkbuy😂

* * Sister Mz. Kora You are Mama everyone can see. The refreshing part of is the way You and Their Father interact with Them. Your Children will always know They intentionally brought into the world. I've heard of mothers having meltdowns grocery for their husbands and one child. $4000.00 a month for food wow. This was another Great Show. Be Well Mack

I used to shop groceries at 1-2 stores in the beginning but when it comes to the specialty Caribbean foods like soursop or chief hot curry powder; I found it more convenient to shop fruits/veggies at produce stands, specialty meats like smoked herring & Island spices from Caribbean or Asian market. $957 for 1week that's almost $4k monthly... I'll like to recommend a recipe bbq mustard turkey wings with tricolored peppers couscous. I'm sure your family will love your spin on this recipe with your blend of spices and touch of love. I really enjoy you & your family integrated connections. Keep shining glam Gma!❤❤❤🌹🌹🌹
