Agree!!! almost all of them have a yellow base. I am neutral with a pink overtone...yet I am warm in overall coloration- warm hazel eyes and strawberry reddish tones mixed in with my gray. (all natural). The hilight color choices are WAY too yellow and oxidize making me look jaundiced. Palace is more cool, but as a stand alone it is extremely pasty. I am an artist and was a professional makeup artist and know how to pick colors - and I even have issues. I must say, I love your hair!!! Your color analysis was on point! If you look at your older videos with blond, whoa. You looked beautiful with the blonde this suits you so well and is harmonious... the shirt color is YOUR color! Great video.

Gotta love Seint for customizing shades. I am pink undertone so I know how your friend feels. I melted Palace with white peach and candlelit a few months ago and love it. Now this is what I find fascinating! Customizing colors. I don't know what it is about my personal color but I have never had an accurate color match for foundation or lips or cheeks in any store, no matter how high end and I imagine some those gals are pretty knowledgeable. I think I must have chameleon skin tone 😄. To make matters more confusing I had light brown hair all my life that would lighten up to a blond or strawberry blond in the summer. My grandmother was a true redhead and I had some red undertones in my hair. Went dang near towheaded as a small child when we spent months in the Hawaiian Islands. After 50 my hair got darker and darker, well, except for the silver parts. Now I have silver hair all around my face and throughout my noggin. My eyes were a rich brown, now they are green. I swear...aging is a wonder. Used to wear lots of browns and greens, (my beautiful blond blue eyed friend would tease me and ask why I didn't just join the military. Black made me look like a cadaver. Sucked all the color right out of me. So now I am a cool tone, no more brown eyeshadows, especially if they are warm. I got into Sient because of Demi, the only thing that covers all the travesties that are my undereye. I am so disappointed about the Demi discontinued colors. VR5 gives me that Blush from Within look that none of the other lip and cheek colors do. I apparently have a lot of yellow in my skin although to look at me it doesn't seem that way. I usually use 3-4 colors of highlight on my face and blend it all together, which I think, is basically what you were explaining. In the summer I do use Hazel on my upper lip and chin because of the texture there. Isn't that what you said once, darker on the textured areas? I actually own a metal spatula and might try to mix a tin of custom color in my laboratory😜. I absolutely love listening to you and learning. Disasters are so sad and can be an emotional hard time, even for someone not personally involved. It hurts the heart. Need to keep working and praying and supporting the best way we can. You are a gem. I applaud your effort to carry on when you don't feel like it, and it shows how much you love what you do when you get into it and are focused on teaching us. Until next time...

Sounds like you might be an olive skin tone sister. We tend to have a very difficult time finding a match, even in store with an associate helping. We can lean warm or cool, saturated or muted. It's a minefield.

I am so excited to learn how to mix highlight colors!! I’ve completely quit wearing any highlight color, only Demi under my eyes and anywhere else I need a touchup!! For the last year I’ve used Athens and/or Amber and they worked better than any other highlight. But they now don’t seem to be working as well, so I’ve quit wearing them.

I am so glad I ran across you! I'm having a really hard time trying to match myself. I found someone the other day but she wasn't offering a free color match. She sent me a link two color match myself but it's nearly impossible. The colors seem to be two lights or too dark and the concealer are too light or too dark. I need a light med/med olive shade. More cool /neutral sorta gray olive. ( I know 🧟‍♀️) I’m looking at all of these shades and I probably have to mix in a green. I already do that with liquid. So I’m intrigued. You ever see Ben Nye, Mehron, RCMA Olive undertone foundation? They look straight up orange. What am I missing? I don’t understand. Hello! Yes good idea to mix colors when you don't find your's!.. and maybe i have a tip for not having to mix them each time,.... so do you think that we could do this?: with the spatula you extract one half of the color n°1 rectangle and put it on a palette, then the same with your color n°2. Then you put the rest of your color n°2 with the rest of color n°1 on the color's n°1 rectangle and you gently put it on a frying pan, then when it start to get warm you mix them together with a little needle, and then you let it cool down. Idem with the 2 colors left on your palette.. you put them back on the empty rectangle left and warm them together on the frying pan... I think it should work isn't it? 🤩

It's so horrible about the hurricane. My cousin and her family didn't have power or water for 4 days in S. Carolina. The stories I'm hearing are heartbreaking. I have like 50 shades of skin. I have melasma on my jaw and forehead, rosacea, my neck is so much lighter than my face, and I have a serious farmer's tan. I never know what to go with :(

You just need to stay on the darker side so the melasma doesnt get ashy. You may need a lighter shade on jawline to match neck. You can also do peels to correct melasma and sun damage but it will require diligence with a high daily SPF
