I really hate family secrets especially when they pertain to living family members who need that info. Keeping this family secret could kill Meiya. Telling her the truth would be kinder. Truth wouldn't kill her, it would explain WTF is going on. Leaving someone perpetually in limbo is never good. They'd rather kill her with kindness to make themselves feel better. Hell at least Li Dong and Wei Wei would have told her kindly. As for that new engagement, I don't care what that family thinks. They are stupid AF and i really disagree strongly with Meiya's dad.
