I just got 1/2 year of sobriety today. I am about to give my 3rd twenty minute share. I always make sure I say the following things. 1. To the news people: Sit down, shut up and listen. 2. If you baby them one day you may bury them. 3. When I say “by any lengths necessary, I mean by any lengths necessary” 4. At best we have 2 options, detox or handcuffs. 5. Do 90 in 90 no matter what. .

Totally agree about being glad that I'm not trying to get clean today. I recently went to a meeting and a member read out a government mandate from a government website from the internet threatening to fine members $1300.00 or imprisonment who don't wear a mask even though coffee shops, restaurants and most venues do not require masks whilst sitting or drinking coffee. The venue I hold a meeting at has a sign on the door stating "you may be sharing this room with unvaccinated people and masks are not required whilst sitting or eating. I walked out of that meeting after being glared at with hate by a member I once disagreed with and even though I have exemption I was not welcomed at that group who must not read our literature, steps and Traditions. The thought of using crossed my mind but after being clean for 25 years I thought fuck that and rather than get into confrontation about outside issues I expected that this meeting is a rough meeting not an NA meeting. If I was in a big city I would just go to a different group of older well informed members but all I can do is make sure I make newcomers welcome at the meeting I serve...

I'm so glad you decided not to use. 25 years that is incredible. I know the pandemic has tested many peoples recovery and many have went out and not made it back. I'm so glad you stayed and wish you the best of luck and sobriety!!! IS there other meetings in your city you can go to? I know you said it was a smaller city

@@RecoverySpeakerschannelThank you, it was a passing thought as to how I would feel if I was a newcomer whilst baffled by the whole situation of a couple of personalities influencing the rest. NA has fucked up my using anyway and the dope would be cut with NA. I was locked down in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia under the tyrannical control of Dictator Dan Andrews for 10 months with curfews and a 5 km limit with no meetings. November 2020 the borders opened so I escaped in my RV like a refugee through NSW then into QLD which was like walking into another dimension or back in time into huge open meetings again, no masks, no mandates then I slowly travelled to Cairns FNQ before the world went into mass psychosis. I could go to AA but I prefer my own kind and eventually normality will be restored. I've been attending Freedom Day Rallies with other members. I've been watching the Occupy Canberra protest on KZbin which is the biggest protest in Australian history and also watching the Canadian protest on the other side. If only our world leaders practiced our program hey ?
