Loved it in 91, still love it in 2023!! What a duo and was fortunate to see them in Scotland a few times. Actually got a smile from one of them when I bought him a beer. The guy in the pony tail, who hardly ever smiles! Forgot his name 😁

I was a SF dj at that time and I gotta say what a time it was. giant warehouses, glowsticks, black light jewelry booths, smart bars, flyers all over the floor, cold, sweat, banging systems, lasers, fractals on large screens, peace and energy. to rock the house and raise the roof as a dj was massive. strictly vinyl record and turntables, crates of vinyl, dj after dj, hands in the air and wooing loudly when the crowd went nuts. My signature track was emmanuel top-acid phase (from alaska on down).

The track is next level. However, note the build up from the break at 3:15. The track is built up so quickly from this point it is unbelievable! As a DJ , you don’t get this formula anymore which hypes up the crowd.

I have been looking for this song for 28 years and had nothing to go by except remembering the tune. I tried to hum it to people who liked techno and house but to no avail until now.....came on it by accident after listening to Anthem and it said this was their second hit so I played it on a whim......one dream fulfilled, climbing Mount Everest and visiting Taj Mahal next once Covid crisis is safe............

Yes, without all the teasing that Chainsmokers, Guetta, Afrojack, Major Lazer, Capital Sound, Clean Bandit, Calvin Harris etc do these last 10 to 15 years. Start a beat and then stop it again. For them, they are enamored with the build and it usually builds to nowhere.

1:05 I came here just to track down this sample, featured on Marc Smith & Gammer "Building Shaker" among many other tracks I am sure. Still not positive if he says "rock ya sober make the building shake" or "rock ya soul but make the building shake" - in the greater context of when and how this music was consumed originally, the first one seems to make more sense. Any ideas?
