Hello. I saw Otoko-tachi no Yamato last night, and came across your video. I didn't know you were the winner of a model contest in Australia! I knew you were a good modeler! It was a long time ago, but I'm honored to receive your comment. I've only been making models for three years, and I only make Japanese castles, but I'll continue to use your video as a reference!

Thank you for watching the video! Yes, my model won Best of Show many years ago. I've retired from competitive modeling but still enjoy building models-just no more ships for now, haha. I have just finished a Gundam 0083 diorama: kzbin.infosoFdNP1ZGEI?si=uNks9htNzDY74hki I’ve just subscribed to your channel. I actually built a castle model once, and someday I plan to tackle Matsumoto Castle. I’ve had the model kit for almost 20 years, waiting for the right moment to start!
Awesome! I have a better idea of just how large IJN Yamato actually was. My only disappointment is the lack of the uppermost superstructure, but for the purposes of the movie I suppose those shots were more practical using matte paintings. The set creators did a fine job.
