He was a royal advisory councilor. However, Teknath Rizal 's hunger for power knew no bounds. He wanted to become the Prime Minister of Nepali people in Bhutan. All his plans flopped. It is true he served 10 years in jail as he was spreading false rumours against King and the country, making innocent Nepali as victims to his evil plot. In 1999, he was granted royal pardon but in 3 days he fled to Nepal as he was worried that he will be neglected by new party heads in Jhapa camp.
