During NTR'S period as CM of AP, Telugu film industry was shifted to Hyderabad. Before 1983 it was in Chennai and so, most of the cine actors of Telugu industry were in Chennai.

Then slowly they started to shift base to Hyderabad, but as many telugu hero kids were already fully settled in Chennai in secondary classes and Hyderabad was a small city then, many were reluctant to move until early 2000s. This explains why almost everyone studied till atleast class10 here. Quite a few went in to finish their college also here, while few others chose to do it in Hyderabad.
