Reminds me a lot of my first car, a 50hp Polo on the Autobahn. When it got Vmax you just had to keep the speed, full throttle.

Yeah … it turned out that the 1,2,3 ignition was broken for quite some time. It was down 50 bhp … Changed the part and voilà! 190 bhp at the dyno again and 20-40 sec of my lap times … Ciao

Hahaha … wrong! If you take a good look you’ll see that the wipers are modified too … to prevent them from flying off I’ve added some tie wraps. Red ones of course … cheers

The rear suspension on these cars is tricky esp. in the wet on curvy road…but surely modified here?

@@DoctorCarLove Oja, dat is waar ook, even vergeten dat er geen camera's buiten op de auto mogen. Dan moet je Adrian (de cameraman van Misha) maar eens vragen of die een mooie opname heeft van de vlammen werper.

Hey je heb iets met de afstelling gedaan, hij loopt beter hoor ik :-) Mijn motor gaat er over twee weken in, probeer op de National Oldtimer Festival Zandvoort dagen aanwezig te zijn. Dat is de 29 mei 2022, kom je dan ook? Vgr Thierry

Hoi. Het bleek dat mijn 1,2,3 ontsteking al een tijd defect was. Hij ging steeds iets slechter lopen, maar met de oordoppen onder de helm kon ik dat slecht horen. Nadat ik wat fly by filmpjes zag hoorde ik de misfires. De 1.2.3 was toen volledig overleden met daardoor 40 pk minder. Nu met de volle 190 pk ging hij weer als een kogel. In mei en juni heb ik een surftrip door europa, dus Zandvoort zit er niet in, maar bedankt voor de uitnodiging. Have fun daar!

@@DoctorCarLove Thx, veel plezier met de surftrip. 40pk is erg goed merkbaar. Ik moet hem inrijden dat gebeurd voorlopig met de standaard ontsteking. Vind de 123 ignition wel interessant. Misschien dat daar ook wel aan ga.
