Thanks to Derek Bell for this great tribute to Stefan Bellof! I was at Mosport back in 1984 for the Budweiser GT August 3,4,5, 1984 with Stefan Bellof, Derek Bell & Nick Mason(Pink Floyd's Drummer).

Hey, es gab da doch mal ein Video oder mehrere... Stucks (oder jemand anderes ) Runde ím 956 von 1983, der seine Runde auf der Nordschleife kommentiert, währenddessen von Ickx am Adenauer Forst überholt wird und dies mit: der hat es sehr eilig oder (in dem Wortlaut) erklärt wurde. Jedenfalls wird die Fahrt in deutsch kommentiert, was man schwach im Hintergrund hört, gleichzeitig aber die Übersetzung davon in britischen Englisch gesprochen, fragt mich jetzt nicht von wem... Diese Video(s) sind NICHT mehr gelistet, der Titel war glaube ich in English, eventuell GAB es mehrere davon, auch mit deutschem Titel, bin mir aber nicht sicher. Suchbegriffe: Porsche 956 | Nordschleife | 1983 | full lap Ich wette, einige werden wissen von welchen Video ich rede, warum wird dies Zensiert?

+a64dx86 It's not the cars; it's the track. They haven't had official races with purpose built race cars since the 80's.. It's the same reason they don't do F1 there. The course is considered far too long and dangerous.

+a64dx86 the cars are faster.... Uwe Alzen 6:38 Nordschleife | fastest lap 2012 24h. and he drove the F1course as well (25,378 km), Bellof "only" the nordschleife 20,8km

+Roman Val indeed it is because of the cars, today super/hyper cars have 1000+ HP, but they have 2 tons. They need to take car design and construction to basics, race car needs to be light!

+isderaimperator Well, it might have been during the 24hrs, but the time you are referring to, is still the time stopped from entry Nürburgring, to entry GP course. Check the video mate ( watch?v=IvgDdglSOrE) if you dont believe me. Bellof and his Porsche are still the fastest to date.
