What is your tires/wheel set up? Any idea about the power and top speed?

185/60-13 Toyo R888 on 7" wheels,Power is 105hp on the dyno. top speed unknown
@anestisgenk5917 жыл бұрын
7" wheels with 185 isn't a bit streched? What rims do you use? 105hp with 1.5L motor right? Is it considered a mild tune? Or you use very high compression pistons, 2 double carbs and aggressive cams? I ask because I wonder what is the max performance for a street focused tune. :)
@ralliromanowski85957 жыл бұрын
with usual tires it is a bit streched but not too much,the R888 are a bit wider - fits perfect. The engine has stock pistons and a 1500-carb-euro-spec cam. I run twin Webers. CR is about 10.4 : 1
@ralliromanowski85957 жыл бұрын
It is in fact a mild tune since the head was modified to run on 1,6. But things have changed and displacement will increase... The rims are from KBS,a german company which was selling these for Unos in the late 80's. I run them with track extensions and struts/nuts

me too, it looks and sounds standard, but seems to have lots of grip. Driver knows the way round, and his lines are very accurate, he knows how to go fast without untidy slides, the car has pace, but seems so 'ordinary' I'm sure it has more power than standard, or maybe it's his proficiency, whatever, some unanswered questions about this rather mysterious X19 !

Very smart drive! But it is a case of experience. You handle the car very well in anger. Lots of car club traffic in the slower lane. To regarded as no-kwowledge, untrained and unpredictable. The overtaking of the Porsche Speedster is nice one. A light and tuned car. The diver sets the pace. And knows his limits to his light build special. Nice to watch! Top! There is one 'but'! You need a roll cage doing this! If you slam, it will be the last.

this car is quick, driver is quick, I'm fairly sure he races, Very entertaining, thanks for video, reminds me of my X19 back in the 70's, drove across Europe, discovered the hardtop was back in England at my first overnight stop, bought a plastic sheet and some cord, wrapped it up at night! Long love the x1-9! I know my 74 and 76 x1/9s from high school entire steering assembly would have shaken off and have flashbacks of having to blow out carburetor jets on side of interstate! So miss those cars! (Except in the rain when light front end hydroplaned and car went straight and steering wheel was irrelevant!).
@captainobvious6025 Жыл бұрын
blowing out the jets was a common practice for my car. Probably should do it frequently when driving a lot. My 80 should be back on the road later this summer. I haven't driven it since 1990, it has been in storage since then. It is in the shop getting a going through right now and then over for a new paint job to fix a couple rust spots. The rear corners are the worst otherwise the car is pretty clean considering so many of them rusted to pieces. I think some people drove the early ones in winters which is why you cannot find a 74 anywhere.

@@DucatiPaso750 there were electrical problems, as well as an issue when power would slowly cut out leading to a stall, I was stranded a few times. Nice car etc, but why do you feel the need to get right up the backside of so many slower cars? This wasn't a race. Many look quite expensive, and are clearly being driven quite cautiously. You being aggressive is just silly. Give them time and space to sort themselves out, without feeling pressured by someone with something to prove. Some serious clutch dragging on a few downshifts... ref matching needs work.
@RodMidkiff3 жыл бұрын
I thought He was very patient, many of the cars that did have more motor passed Him on the long straight, and then blocked His pass in the corners, many times I saw what looked like one of the slower driven car's moved over for Him to pass on the left, only for them to slam the door on Him if He had started to pass. I really enjoyed that video, looked like a very fun day at the track. If someone wants to drive so "cautiously" then don't block someone with your car you don't want to be bumped.
