That is some of the most beautiful desert rock work I've seen. Kudos!

wow, the way you built that layout...so professional! You built the mountains and terrain in sections and shaped them before installation...wow. I really admire your layout, the scenery is minimalist, which is just the way nature in the desert is. You have replicated the deserts quite well.

Hi Alex! Thanks a lot for your motivating words. The way I choose - building in sections - is a time consuming process, especially creating all the individual rock modules ;-) - Rolf

Always interesting to see a layout choosing a region somewhere outside more frequently modeled scenery. I'd be curious to see how you went about the rock work and the materials used. Very nice illustration of a traditional method for building bench work. I personally use a more foam based method but the tried and true is still a valid way to go about it.

Am enjoying your clips, Rolf! Any chance of attributing the backing tracks? Particularly taken with 'working on the railroad for a dollar a day....!'

Hi Russel, the RAILROAD WORKSONG is performed by The Notting Hillbillies (feat. Mark Knopfler), from the Album "Missing presumed having a good time". Thanks for your comment!
