Thank you, Bill! There’s another update coming out tomorrow! Love Chicago, have been there quite a few times over the years (usually fly United from UK, so mostly come into Chicago). I’ve done a lot of railfanning there!

If you have the space I'd put in the double track NS main off you wye, IMO. I think it will really give that Chicago feel and possibly add some interchange operations to the layout. I like the river idea as well. Looking good Peter 👍🏻

Looking good. The LEDs in teh underpass will really bring out the crap, rubbish and graffitti under there! Great idea.

That’s the plan 😀 I’m now trying to work out what to use to simulate light covers as that will help diffuse the LED’s and make it look even better. In fact, just thought of something! Time to scratch through the scrap modelling boxes!

Looking at google maps, there is no crossover at the west end of the yard for trains to switch between the two sets of main tracks. There is a crossover beyond the western arm of the y to get west bound off the peninsular, but again nothing to get across to the Metra lines until either side of Kostner Ave. If you were to put in crossovers from either main, might be easier to space them either side of the y as to me it doesn't look as if you have space. Like how you've combined the underpass kits, be nice to see it when all the graffiti is on.

Shhh…don’t tell anyone 😉🤣 Yep, might have to use a bit of modeller’s license. Mind you, if I had my way, the fewer turnouts the better, as my least favourite bit of tracklaying 😀
