Daryl.. I've watched so many of your videos...once in awhile I binge watch to see and enjoy the layout that you've created. I particularly enjoyed this older one.. seeing the humble beginnings of one of the most prototypical layouts out there.. long straight runs.. big number turnouts.. real life doesn't build spaghetti bowls of track and neither have you.. excellent job.

When I subscribed awhile back it was just before you had to move. At the time I thought Wow what a big job it'll be. Glad to see it's as good as ever and certainly will improve. Looking forward to the videos. Cheers, Denis. North Queensland, Australia.

Very Impressive...I work not far away from Proviso, and CP's Bensenville Yards...lots of trains and heavy industry in the O'Hare Area. Engines from many railroads!

No tinny artificial loco sounds. No inappropriate music. I like it.

@d2a3n5 not really finished with any of it yet. I expect it to take 8 years or more to get it to any kinda of a finished state.

Wow, I love this set up! If that was mine, I would be running it every day. That is so cool looking. Is it hard to keep n-scale trains running smoothly?

typical operation NS brings cars up from Elkheart and returns engine light UP Power is added and takes the train to any Intermodel Yard in the system if it goes to LA the train code will be ZPRLB which is the code they use for all intermodel trains going to ICTF Longbeach which is the container terminal for southern California or any other yard just look up the code

Too bad NS or any other railroad besides UP can't lead on the Geneva because of cab signaling.
